DinckelMan got a reaction from Stefan1024 in [Issue] USB device over current status detected
Update: It looks like the issue was happening because of a mouse USB cable that shorted out. Still testing the PC a bit, but it looks like that was it. Thanks for suggestions everyone

Unfortunately i can't take a look at the board myself cause i live far away, i can only ask the person to do so, but he doesn't know what to look at and etc.
What i'll try to do is disconnect everything from the back ports and try to connect them to the front one.

DinckelMan reacted to shypin in Need a full custom loop to cool CPU + 2 970s
LONG POST WARNING
you need:
1. a waterblock for your CPU: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-supremacy-evo (clear) or https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-supremacy-evo-acetal (black)
2. 2 waterblocks for your GPU: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-fc970-gtx-wf3-nickel (clear) or https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-fc970-gtx-wf3-acetal-nickel (black)
2 backplates for your GPU (optional, they only make your system look better and have minimum effect on cooling performance): https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-fc970-gtx-wf3-backplate-nickel (nickle) or https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-fc970-gtx-wf3-backplate-black (black)
3. radiator(s) (your case supports 360mm on top and 280mm in the front according to corsair's website): https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-coolstream-xe-360-triple (360mm thick option, goes in the front) or https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-coolstream-pe-360-triple (360mm slimer option, goes in the front) and https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-coolstream-ce-280-dual (280mm, goes in the front)
4. pump: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-xtop-d5-pwm-plexi-incl-pump (plexi) or https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-xtop-d5-pwm-acetal-incl-pump (black)
5. reservoir: choose whatever size that would fit https://shop.ekwb.com/reservoirs/reservoirs/ek-res-x3-series, maybe the 250 one or 150 one
pump-reservoir combo (optional, if you want to reduce the difficulty then go with a combo unit instead of separate pump and reservoir): https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-xres-140-d5-pwm-incl-pump (normal style) or https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-dbay-d5-pwm-incl-pump (drive bay style)
6. 14 fittings: any color of your choice here https://shop.ekwb.com/fittings/compression-fittings/for-10-13mm-3-8-1-2-tubing
7. 2 sets of tubing (1 set won't be long enough): https://shop.ekwb.com/tube-primochill-primoflextm-advanced-lrttm-12-7-9-5mm-crystal-clear-retail-3m (this is the clear one, but any color would work)
2 liters of coolant (can be premixed or mixed from concentrates, don't think 1 liter would be enough) (optional, you can use distilled water and some agents or you can use these commercial ones): https://shop.ekwb.com/accessories/cooling-liquids-coolants, a company named mayhems also make great coolant, this is my favorite http://www.mayhems.co.uk/mayhems/index.php/products/specialist-coolants/mayhems-aurora
thats basically all i can think of right now, hopefully i didnt forget anything. You could buy some extras in terms of fittings, tubing and coolant just to be sure but that should work.
Dont forget fans! youll need 2x 140mm fans and 3x 120mm fans, those labeled "static pressure" would be preferable

DinckelMan reacted to IMPERIUS in 21:9 vs dual 16:9
I would take the ultrawide monitor. The one you are looking it is great. And because its 21:9 you will get a wider fov than with a 16:9. If you REALLY need more than 2560 horizontal pixels then take dual 16:9. If you are happy with one ultrawide then take that. I have one as well and I´m loving it

At the LMG LAN
we all gamed for hours
Amidst flashes of light
and turret-fire showers
Then the fragging was done
and we were all tired

was to say "Slick, you're fired"

DinckelMan reacted to Ghost in Need help with fittings
It doesn't really matter what size you choose.
3/8 ID 1/2 OD
1/2 ID 3/4 OD
Are two of the popular sizes. They have a wider variety of fittings and tubing for them.

Update time!
So its been about a week since I started working on this project and already I'm having ups and downs with the project, but it comes with the territory and with each challenge and set back, it make me put more time and effort into creating a better final design than I originally hoped. As the saying goes, you learn more from you failures than your successes.
So at the beginning of this project I was unsure of exactly what hardware I was going to use (Mobo, GPU, PSU, etc) Of course the parts are going to influence how big the final design is going to be as well as how they are laid out within the case.
So I decided I would try for a full ATX motherboard and a few extra goodies to model up. Well, after I got most of the model completed, I realized that the final model was going to be massive, 15" wide, 15" tall, and 36" tall. Overall, I think this might be just a tab bit overkill, the sheer height of it dwarfs most full tower cases, its a full foot higher that my 800D, which is large case on its own. So for the time, im headed back to the drawing board to see what I can come up with, might be moving to a small mITX or mATX motherboard for the next version.
Back to the drawing board I go!

DinckelMan got a reaction from a.kei in First watercool build
To be honest, this build is expencive, but not good.
Bad cable management. Also, did not like the watercooling loop that much. Espesially the tubing. It looks like you poured dirty water in there.
Sorry
