TechNurd got a reaction from asheenlevrai in Video playback from NAS
seeing that you posted on the network section, some detail on your network set up would be useful.
are you using wifi? if ethernet, are you getting full speed or lower? lower could mean cable damage. how are you getting your network stats? using task manager? if yes, try using resource monitor. task manager only shows some protocols and not everything. pretty sure that's why you're seeing low utilization on some of them -
TechNurd reacted to FakeFBI in Msi G271 1080p 144hz review
this is my review after like a month of using it,
and holy shit it blew my mind
first it only has amd freesync, but still good
the 144hz is so helpful on warzone, the 144hz is like, too smooth to describe
and also my dad made me get a non curved so yea
but the point is, for a $300-$500 monitro it is excellent, of course this was a present for me so i didnt really look at other models

TechNurd reacted to DailyProcrastinator in Big problems after CPU replacement
Ahhh well in that case it should not need a bios update. Clear CMOS and go into bios, reset everything to default. Then if able to boot into windows make sure all drivers and windows updates are completed. If not a fresh OS install could be the answer unfortunately.

TechNurd got a reaction from brob in Did I get a really good deal or am I missing something?

TechNurd got a reaction from cm992 in What should I get
The official nvidia recommended power supply is 400w. 380w is sketchy, but i reckon it will work just fine. maybe dont overclock it and hope for the best.

TechNurd reacted to SlashedM in What should I get
I think the 960 is your best bet in terms of performance. In these days, I dont think a 2GB card is good

TechNurd got a reaction from Quackers101 in Desktop stopped working at the worst possible time LOL
i've tried everything. the monitor works btw, i tried connecting my laptop to it and everything is fine. Its my desktop that died. Pretty sure its the MOBO.
This post was more of a rant rather than tech support. My desktop is like 8 years and its probably time to upgrade but, the prices are killing me

TechNurd got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in whats your true feeling with ADS inserted by youtubers
i dont know why you're getting so riled up. you want to watch content that take so much time to make, FOR FREE, BUT WITHOUT ADS. some of these creators are working on youtube as their fulltime job and its not an easy job.
grow up, stop being a little btch. everybody's gotta make a living.

TechNurd reacted to Nocte in 1 modem 1 switch 2 routers. possible?
Can't you just put both routers in access point mode? (without chaining them, connect both to the modem directly)

TechNurd got a reaction from Suka in 3000 Series and PCIE Gen 3
i personally dont think that there would be much of a performance difference. but honestly, who can say anything for sure unless we have the benchmarks

TechNurd reacted to boggy77 in i7 4790 non k + RTX 3070?
if gaming at 4k60hz, it might hold up a bit more. for 1080p240hz or 1440p144hz, you'd need to upgrade
-
TechNurd reacted to Jurrunio in i7 4790 non k + RTX 3070?
Even 4790k users have moved on with a GPU like that
-
TechNurd reacted to cluelessgenius in i7 4790 non k + RTX 3070?
well yeah if you want to upgrade then you need a new mobo and ram depending on what youre upgrading to
if youre just adding a gpu you dont have to but if you notice that your cpu is at 100% while gaming and your gpu is chilling at 30% or whatever then maybe you should get a better cpu.

TechNurd got a reaction from AshesAndWool in Will there be full sized 3070 blower style cards released later?
even with the higher watt configurations, i think there will still be some cheaper AIB cards with blowe style

TechNurd reacted to Hairless Monkey Boy in shouldI sell my 2070 super and buy a 3070 when it comes out?
That is entirely up to you.
Wait for independent reviews and benchmarks before you decide.
