  1. thats how i usually do it. some mobo do have the clear cmos pins. if you can find those, you can just grond them and the cmos should be cleared.
  2. i would chalk up eye strain and dryness to how you use the monitor and not how the monitor performs. i would suggest the following: remember to blink. seems rudimentary but I realise I never blink enough when playing games. set the optimum brightness. too bright can be painful. too dark can also strain eyes. sit at a decent distance away from the monitor. i sit beside a window and always look out into far objects during intermissions. if it gets really bad, i suggest getting eye drops.
  3. I had to RMA my 34" ultrawide 1440p 144hz monitor. I used my old 23" 1080p60 monitor in the mean time. I wanted to kill myself
  4. okay then try downloading it on your phone or another PC and let us know how it goes
  5. Are you running XMP? if yes, disable. disable all overclocking. CPU and RAM just to be sure, take out the 2 old sticks and keep the new ones in and see if its stable. if yes, try resetting your BIOS. if no, you might just have faulty RAM slot. test this by placing them in the slots that the old RAM were in.
  6. fairly high end runs the best possible set up on the planet
  7. remove all overclocking. clear CMOS. are you using HDD by any chance for the OS?
  8. have you tried using chrome or other browsers? definitely sounds like a software issue to me. i would just do a clean install of windows if the problem persists.
  9. have you tried resetting your bios? clear the CMOS for this try uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers using DDU. this check if your PSU is working properly. the 1050ti was a relatively low powered card and when you changed to a 3080, your cpu may be not getting enought power? though this is very unlikely because i would assume the system would just crash when you start a game.
  10. ok go to hell with your profile info lol
  11. seeing that you posted on the network section, some detail on your network set up would be useful. are you using wifi? if ethernet, are you getting full speed or lower? lower could mean cable damage. how are you getting your network stats? using task manager? if yes, try using resource monitor. task manager only shows some protocols and not everything. pretty sure that's why you're seeing low utilization on some of them
  12. looks like we need more info if we can help bud. are you using any proxy? VPN? are you using your home network or office/school? are you running any antivirus software? is your PC controlled by your organisation or some domain? wifi or ethernet? do you have space on your hdd/ssd? have you tried downloading the same thing on another device? maybe on your phone? go through your browser extentions and delete any suspicious ones. but i doubt its this one cause you said you tried other browsers aswell.
  13. if we knew the answers to these questions, we would have made a fortune in the stock market
  14. because usually new architecture comes with lower power consumption and some minor benefits. depends how you want to look at it. but technically, its not a refresh. intel's 10th gen is a refresh.
