  1. Well, the "easiest" best way to determine whether its the GPU or not is by replacing it. If you or anyone you know have a spear GPU, swapped your out for that one and test if it still crashes. If it does, its the PSU (according to the information given) and if it doesnt, its the GPU.
  2. I dont know aobut the increasing prices, but there definitely was/is a shortage. Back in may/june, when i first took a look at what new 1000w PSU i want to have, there were plenty of em available and i could freely choose between several different brands and product lines. When i wanted to purchase the one i chose, there was only one PSU left, with 1050W from thermaltake that cost almost 300 bucks... Maybe that shortage was only for 1000W + PSUs and not for lower w ones.. but there definitely was one
  3. Maybe sounds dumb, but on the sound settings, have you tried a right click on the soundbar and then click on "activate" ?
  4. so the better choice would be to go for the 3600 MHz, if i understood that correct?
  5. but wouldnt that have the same result to what the 3600 mhz already has?
  6. Hey guys, just wanted to ask a quick question, the topic pretty much sums it up. I wanted to upgrade my RAM, since i currently have 16GB 4400 MHz Patriot Viper Steel (paired with a Ryzen 5 3600x, dont ask me what i smoked the day i bought that...) to 32 GB. But since i dont know anything about that CL thing other than "less is better", i thought i ask the pros The choices i currently have are: Patriot 32 GB DDR4-3600 with CL 18 20-20-40 (PVS432G360C8, Viper Steel) Corsair 32 GB DDR4-3200 Kit with CL 16 18-18-36 (CMW32GX4M2C3200C16, Vengeance RGB PRO) or Corsair 32GB DDR4-3200 Kit (CMK32GX4M2B3200C16, Vengeance LPX since RGB isnt actually needed) So the actual question is: is it worth it to have 400 Mhz less, but a slightly better CL? Or is the other way around better? as always, thanks in advance!
  7. i dont know any of this, but what the fuck is that signature tho
  8. if he gets to sell it tho. And that would also mean no pc for the time being.
  9. Considering his budget of 500 bucks, that would be just enough for the GPU. But there still is the possibility of him needing a PSU upgrade then as well.
  10. Well, first of all: Give us a full hardware list, not only GPU and CPU. Second: What exactly do you want to upgrade to? What are your requirements? Why and for what reason to you think you need an upgrade?
  11. Exactly what he says. Its like putting a 7th fan into your case.. it will most likely not increase anything, except for having 1 degress less inside your case. But it a) looks better imo, b) gives it somewhat of a protecting layer when you work (do upgrades) on your system and c) still gives a bit better temperature, but not to a point where you will have either better or worse performance.
  12. And... (but dont quote me on that lol), maybe, if you managed to clip it back in, try to retain it somehow. If the plastic cap got ripped out that easily, it might not sustain the weigth of the gpu for too long, making the gpu fall out of place bending the pins. But thats just an assumption tho
  13. Holy crap, ive never seen anything like this before But for me it looks "undamaged". Meaning, as long as the pins are still intact and not ripped off as well, it looks like you could just clip the plastic cap back in again. The plastic cap seems to have two feet that need to be clipped back into the wholes around the pins (one on the left end, the other on the right mid-end).
  14. maybe take a look at these links: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5485853/how-to-create-a-folder-with-name-as-current-date-in-batch-bat-files https://www.mysysadmintips.com/windows/clients/270-create-folder-with-name-as-current-date-in-batch-bat-file
