If I "upgrade"(still need to consider if it's worth it) to Ryzen from Ivy Bridge, I'm going to be effectively minitiarizing my build into a Micro ATX form factor, or Mini ITX. I like the Cosmos II, but it's too big and heavy for my purposes.

    Which Ryzen CPU?

    A Ryzen 5 1600 or Ryzen 7 1700 would be a huge upgrade ;)

Here's to hoping you can cable manage (you have a modular psu IIRC), and can handle the +2c temps (assuming you also have good airflow)

1600 is most likely what I'll be getting. But I'm also considering upgrading the video card(currently have a Windforce 970).

    Definitely worth it IMO

For the GPU, I would recommend:

    Vega 56, 1070 or used 980 Ti :D

I would go ryzen if I could justify spending $900+ on 2x cores and maybe 8% better single core (and losing half of my ram)
