I've been looking at reviews for the 30 series cards and that if some cards have the cheap capacitors in them, they would cause issues when the cards OC'd themselves past 2GHz. Would anyone happen to know if the GIGABYTE RTX 3090 MASTER 24G has the cheap or expensive capacitors, or is this only applicable to the 3080 cards? Thanks heaps

3080 performance question: there are reviews showing 1440p being very dynamic in comparison with the 2080Ti (little to a lot of performance gain). I have a Samsung G9 Odyssey, so would that classify running games at 2K or 4-5K? It's basically 2x1440p monitors, but I'm not sure if it'll be as dynamic as the 1440p benchmarks. Thanks

I'm a bit of a showy person, so I'm deciding between MSI's X570 and Z490 boards purely on appearance (I have a 3950X or an i9-10900K depending on which board I pick), but I'm just curious about the little screens at the top right of the mobos. The X570 one seems like it's just black and white OLED while the Z490 one seems like it has a proper coloured display. I did see a video where the X570 screen looked blue so I'm very confused. Are the screens the "same", or is the X570 actually just black-and-white?

The PSU would be for the GPU (apparently it's a power hog), and I already have the storage, PSU, RAM and case ordered as they're not really dependent on the other specs so it would be a bit of a waste lol. It's for 2 jobs related to what it'll be used for and my own projects. Also thanks, I didn't notice the different sockets.

Budget (including currency): AUD$8,000-$9,000 Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: A lot of the upcoming AAA games, Photoshop, Unity, Blender, music making programs, VM-related work, Premier Pro Hey guys, bit of a long one here. Short story: I'm trying to decide on an Intel or AMD CPU for gaming and workstation purposes. Long story: My current PC kicked the bucket so I'm looking for parts for a new PC, however I'm facing a dilemma; I'm going off of the rumour that the new 3000 Series of cards will be PCIe gen 4-focused, or at least compatible with it. So it would make sense to me to go with the high-end AMD CPUs as they're compatible. Intel gives much greater performance in games and single-core applications, but it's still tethered to PCIe gen 3 (at least for a while yet). I also do work that would benefit from multi-threaded performance, however having better gaming performance is also an enticing argument. I'm also interested in if AMD comes out with a newer CPU that beats Intel's single- and multi-threaded core performance that will be compatible with whatever AMD motherboard I can buy, so if so I might end up going AMD if that's the case. Any advice on which I should go for? And if there are any suggestions on the other parts included in my planned build I'd love to hear them too, thanks! What parts would be recommended to upgrade in my desktop PC to prepare for an RTX 3000 card (or at least 2080 Ti for current measurements)? I don't particularly want to get an entirely new PC, but at the same time I want to keep my system at relatively high-end specs. The following is going off of my experience with the 3DS and some hearsay from people who've had experience in hacking their Switch: To my knowledge going online and downloading official games/updates via EmuNAND is fine, as it's basically like a virtual machine: everything inside a virtual machine can't access the host computer if that makes sense. So if you have an EmuNAND and it doesn't have any "hacks" in it then it should theoretically be fine, but if you go online with the real NAND and the Switch is hacked, then you have the chance of getting banned. Take this with a grain of salt, because this could be wrong and i don't want to be the reason you messed up. Getting two Switches, one for offline/online (like what Koneko said) is your safest option though.

Oh ok. Would that mean it's possible to OC them by a respectable degree? I've never done any overclocking before, but if it'll bring it closer to its desktop version by a considerable amount that would be great

Hi guys, Got a question about the Zephyrus Duo 15's GPU (not sure if it's an intelligent question). I've been trying to figure out if the 2080 Super has a possibility of being a modified desktop version, or if it'll just be the Mobile version of the 2080S? I asked ASUS Support if it was the Mobile or a Desktop GPU and they stated "From the graphics section, the device will come with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER". I'm lead to thinking it's the Desktop version then, but I'm not too knowledgeable on if Desktop RTX GPUs have been ported to laptops or not. If it's a Desktop GPU I'd be straight up buying it to replace my desktop PC (for convenience), but if it's mobile then I might have to think about it. Would anyone happen to have any educated guesses, insights or answers on what it'll be? Thanks heaps
