  1. I rarely use this forum, I prefer others for my nerd stuff. The criticism that LTT is getting right now is valid But holy hay. People go from loving LTT and thinking it can do no wrong one moment to wanting to kill him the next These extremes are not good, it isn't going to help LTT as a whole want to work towards greatness if every step they take they're going to be met by a thousand loud people telling them that they have messed up and will never recover. Mistakes are only human Trust me though. I've been annoyed with the wrong graphs and what not in the LTT and other videos, I've been seeing them for a while now. The fact that it took this long for LTT to have messed up this "bad" is honestly impressive. Any large group of people makes mistakes, and when they own up to it, even if the CVO/ CEO makes a stupid response first, we should meet them with some compassion. But still make sure they can better them self. Lay out what they did wrong, and treat them like a fellow human being. And help them be better. You don't beat a man when he is down You don't watch someone trip and then push them back down when they try to get back up Just keep in mind that you're talking about a lot of people, and these people work hard. Obviously. Help them get better. And don't kill them over it. I've watched LTT a lot over the past 10 or so years. And while they aren't perfect, they're pretty darn good. Godspeed to all at LTT, and I hope you guys are able to be better after this week. I feel like most of the community will be happy to see you back after this.
  2. Something I think LTT should also do, is look at companies like Manscaped and see how good the product actually is. I've had horrid luck with Manscaped, and I'm not alone from what I can tell. And I've had friends with similar issues. I had a 3.0 and had 2 fail on me, each lasting near 6 months. And that's with not charging it when wet, using it in the shower some but not much, and leaving it in my room, and not a humid environment when not in use. It feels okay in the hand, but if it is just made to end up failing on you after 6 months to a year. What's the point? It's bad for the consumer, it's bad for the wallet, and bad for the planet and I think LTT shouldn't support companies that just mass produce e-waste and put all their money into marketing to become popular. I recently replaced my manscaped with a philips trimmer, and while I didn't trim "under the belt" with it. It made due with my body hair at least 2x better than my manscaped ever did which has instantly sold me on this trimmer. And they're very similar in terms of pricing. The manscaped trimmer really just feels like something you can get on Amazon for $30, just with a large price tag attached to it instead, and looking better than some of the cheap offerings. Also, for anyone that has one and is yet to use theirs or something like that. Please note. It is not nick free. Please only use it on sensitive areas with a guard, it needs it. Trust the others that have spilt blood on that. Not worth it to try. I can promise you that. Just food for thought. Thank you guys for making this video though! Always appreciate LTT for the honesty you guys have.
  3. I tried doing that, but it didn't work too well. Kept on randomly crashing. But I got it stable enough to run stress test for an hour. After that it started crashing again Tried clearing CMOS, didn't work either. Full PC Specs are as followed(a little redundant to have it here) CPU - Ryzen 5 1600 Motherboard - MSI B450M Pro-VDH MAX GPU - GTX 1060 6gb RAM - 16gb 2x8gb XPG Gammax D30 SSD - ADATA SU750 HDD- Some 2TB new HDD PSU - 600 watt EVGA 80+
  4. I have a MSI B450M Pro-VDH MAX and it'll launch, go into BIOS just fine. But the second I install windows, it keeps on crashing at around 3 to 7%. The SSD is fine because I've tested it in a seperate PC. The GPU is fine. But one of the LED's on the mobo for "ez debug" will turn on. It's the CPU LED I was wondering if anyone has any tips on what might fix it. CPU is ryzen 5 1600, RAM seems to be ok too.
  5. Are there any beep codes when you have more than 1 stick of ram?
  6. I am attempting to create a Windows 10 VM that has 4 cores 8 threads, 12GB of RAM, along with my R9 290 for gaming When I create it using VNC graphics gives me no issue, I can restart it, VNC into it, etc. When I swap over to my R9 290 it works, but once I reboot once it just never starts again, not display out I would get more issues when I'd use i440fx-3.0 so now I've been using Q35-3.0 or 3.1 machine type My PC Specs are as followed HP Z420 with Xeon E5-2689(8c 16t), 32GB ECC Samsung RAM, R9 290, some random HDD and ADATA thumb drive for Unraid (sandy bridge CPU if that helps) I don't know what other information would be useful, but I'm happy to give any other information. I've gotten games to run well on the VM, but once I reboot, it just doesn't work again
  7. I can see why you, or anyone, calling me an idiot with the evo mounting stuff in mind ?
  8. Yeah, there is just no way I can get any wrench down there to not let the standoffs spin, like if I'm at fault, I'll admit it, god I killed 3 motherboards forever ago because I did stupid stuff (it was like 3 or 4 years ago) I'll admit that. I have fallen off my bike going about 15 or 20 miles an hour with not helmet on (pedal bike) I probably could've tried harder to avoid it. I'll admit that, if I'm at fault, no matter how dumb it is. I'll admit it. But I just don't feel like I'm at fault here, yeah, to an extent I can be. But I feel like coolermaster and motherboard are more at fault than me. But yes. I do agree, dumb design. I forgot that the design of the 212 evo was actually not that bad until I took the one off the mobo I'm using right now so yeah
  9. The evo does seem to have a better mounting bracket compared to the LED one I have. Similar, but still different. Look at post just above this one to see it, I wouldn't have been able to do what was described to me because of the different mounting bracket.
  10. I see what you're saying, that's for the 212 evo, that is what I did with my friend's cooler. I have a 212 LED which has a different mounting system then that. It's really weird IMO. And my cooler is from about a year ago, year and a half or so. It thankfully isn't as old as the mobo.
  11. The LGA 1155 board I'm using right now, which is made by intel, got the traces scratched by the risers from the cooler. And keeping power away from those areas doesn't mean keep data out of the area which would explain why on my broken motherboard that it can still boot, but once you try to do anything in the OS, boot to a thumb drive, it just doesn't work because it broke a trace that deals with data, not power. And fair enough, my motherboard should've been used with a different cooler. But it isn't just a one off motherboard that is like that. It's many motherboards that I have right now, and even newer motherboards have the same issue. Looking at some motherboards currently on amazon there are traces that are right next to the mounting holes. So it could easily happen to anyone, new or old.
  12. I installed a 212 evo on my 1st rig with no issues. With some minor googling I have seen just a couple of the same thing, but not too many. For me I don't remember seeing that but for some reason don't have the instruction manual, weird because I usually keep those. But for me I always tighten until it feels a little snug, not soo lose that it'll come off with me blowing on it, but not so hard that it'll damage something, and I've never had a single issue with that
  13. I don't know what you mean entirely. There are no rear screws for me, just the risers and the screws that screw into the riser. There is only the mounting bracket on the back with no way to unscrew anything. If I unscrewed it wrong then I'll happily say it's my fault. But say I decided to take off this cooler and upgrade to something better than it still would've damaged my board some
