  1. I am trying to build a super quiet gaming/editing PC. I currently own the Be Quiet 500DX with the stock 3x Pure Wings 2 140mm. What is a great 140mm case fan for low noise?
  2. I recently got the 500DX and it is amazing.
  3. I currently own the i7 8700 and want to know what would be a good upgrade. I do a lot of video editing and photo editing where my cpu is at high usage a lot of the time.
  4. Thanks, I'll get my friend to try some of these things out. He said he tried many combinations of the front panel connectors so I don't think that's the problem. PSU works and shows it is working by the lights. Also, the only new parts are the mobo and cpu. Every other part has been tested on other builds and worked. This is the ram, psu, gpu, fans and cooler.
  5. My friend just finished building an AMD cpu build with a Nvidia gpu and the pc doesn't turn on. No fans or lights power on at all. The little gpu light shows when the psu is powered on. He has tried different combinations on the front panel connectors and has done the exact method shown in the motherboard manual but still no power. He has tried different outlets around his house but still no power. Any ideas on what is happening? 6. That's what I was thinking of doing, just getting a new case. Better airflow case, more fans and quieter fans. Seems like the smartest choice.
  7. Any good value for money 1440p 144hz IPS/VA monitors around? I have found a couple that I might consider purchasing later on in the year. 1) AOC CQ27G2U/BK 27" QHD FREESYNC 144HZ - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-cq27g2u-bk-27-2560x1440-va-144hz-1ms-freesync-curved-widescreen-led-backlit-gaming-monitor-mo-058-ao.html#tech_specs 2) ACER Nitro VG271UPbmiipx Quad HD 27" LCD - https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/pc-monitors/pc-monitors/acer-nitro-vg270upbmiipx-quad-hd-27-lcd-gaming-monitor-black-10195212-pdt.html
  8. I want to make my components cooler and make my system quieter. I am currently using the Inwin 101 case with 1 intake at the bottom and one exhaust at the back. I am also using the dark rock 4 cpu cooler. Would it be better to buy more fans for this case or get a case such as the be quiet 500dx which has good airflow, quiet operation and comes with three 140mm fans? 9. Just woke up and the problem is solved.
  10. Okay, thanks for your help. Hopefully this will be sorted when I wake up. It is currently 1:40am in UK.
  11. Do you think the hardware usage is the files being transferred and should I leave it on overnight?
  12. What will happen if it shut my computer down or restart it?
  13. I have also gone into Advanced options under the game title and tried all the reset and terminate options but the transfer is still hapenning.
  14. I noticed I installed FH4 on my SSD and wanted to move the 70+ GB file to my HDD through the settings app in windows. I noticed it was going to take ages so I tried to cancel it. I can't cancel, uninstall or execute the process. The move button is not clickable anymore. There is a background service running, which is the transfer of files. But if I click end process I get a Windows stability warning. Should I leave my computer on for a few hours and see if it gets transferred or is their any other solutions?
  15. Can you swap pc case by keeping everything in the motherboard and just unscrewing it to put it in the new case?
