My schoolmate says it's time to upgrade his gaming pc (Intel i5 4670k). He plans to build an m-atx gaming rig, he's thinking of getting an ryzen r5 5600x, since it's just for gaming and schoolworks. He has an budget of usd$170.00 Any suggestions for b550 m-atx boards? Thanks

His asrock m-atx b450 board croaked and he runs a 2000 series cpu, if he gets a b550 board will they work together? Warranty expired

Either way she needs to change the mb it's bios can't be updated the rev 1 version won't allow the bios update for 3000 series it's dead in the water. I checked with gigabyte.

I have a classmate that streams and makes YouTube cooking tutorial videos often,he still has an first generation ryzen r7 1700x and x370 in his system, he plans to change out the cpu and board for an 5000 series and a b550 board with his limited budget he can get either a good cpu a cheaper board or a 5600x and a better board. I have saved up sgd$3000 just for this project, I'm switching from my silent ceberus to an m-atx system (Hades). This is my system plans but I have some questions on what I could save some money on. Case : Fractal design meshify c mini tg (dark edition) - I chose this case because of the mesh filters and ease of removing them to clean, my dad added an air filtration/air conditioner in to my room since he found out I'm allergic to dust mites. Question : will the case mesh filter make it worse for me? Can it trap dust easier? CPU : Ryzen r9 5900 - I do a lot of 3d designing, cad work, 3d printing and plan I plan to use ceberus for gaming to not waste it. Question : or should I part it out and sell them? Which is a better option? Motherboard : AsusTuf gaming B550m - (WiFi) - saving a few dollars off from getting an X570 board plus I hearths fans on the boards whine and I hate whiners (lol). Question : is the WiFi part a need? I'll be plugging the system into my house's wired router/modem and from the case size I won't be be moving it much. RAM : G.skill trident Z rgb neo 3600mhz cl15 32gb (quad sticks) looks much better in configuration compared to dual lonely sticks and a little rgb to bighten the day (purple breathing).
