  1. I own the A10 5800k. The Apu runs better with faster ram. 1600mhz on my system. Just make sure your mobo is FM2 and can handle a 100w chip. APU's are relevant in gaming and way better than Intel's onboard graphics solutions. But remember you will be limited to 720p-900p in games. If you need/want 1080p gaming. Discrete graphics cards are the only way to achieve that.
  2. Dear Linus Media Group, I've been following your YouTube channel for the last few years. I can recall looking at all of the product reviews, dreaming of building my own dream gaming rig to replace my aging big box store PC. Although I have already created a new mid range gaming PC; thanks to the informative reviews from your channel. I can't stop viewing your videos. From cooling solutions to video cards and everything in between, Linus tech tips has been my "go to" place for the latest in tech news and reviews. Thank you, not just for product reviews. For reviewing a weeks worth of important news topics on the LAN show. For proving my wife, and at times me,a crash course with TechQuickie. All of your videos are informative and fun. Thank you for the past few years. Please keep up the good work. Good luck to all of you
  3. I like the camera on the z2 and i like dbrand for giving a skinned linus phone for this giveaway
  4. What I like most about the laptop is the battery life. 3 hours of heavy net surfing seems great to me. Im surprized Linus, no "there can be only one....winner" joke. Missed opportunity jk. since this is one of the highLANder laptops, will the winner have to hunt down the other g550jk until there is only one? sorry could not resist
  5. My fav thing is the fact that there are no side buttons on the g3. I seem to always hit the side buttons on my current phone. So annoying!
  6. Hello everyone! I wanted to ask an honest question to all of you. When did you start to hear the terms "Hardcore" and "Casual" when describing gaming habits? I've been a gamer since the 80's and I do not ever remember hearing those terms used to describe gaming culture. I can remember that the terms "hardcore" and "casual" started to become prevalent in the gaming media/culture right around the time the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii were released. So I wanted to ask a part of the gaming community if they have every heard the terms used. And if so, do you use those terms to describe yourself or others? Also if you use it to describe others, why? I know this can be a weird and maybe controversial topic to have in any gaming forum. I want an honest opinion of what you feel the terms mean to you and if perhaps you may know how the terms came into existence. There is no right or wrong answer. And since I want honest opinions.

  8. As of this moment, anyone can create a mid range gaming pc for the same money as a “next gen” console. PC for the most part gets all of the same games, or the eventual port. Games are cheaper on PC and you can always upgrade.
  9. I started with an Atari 2600 junior! Yes I'm old school. Was primarily on the consoles until the 7th gen. I stuck with pc and did not regret it.
  10. Question for you. Given Ubisoft's history of not optimizing games on pc, promising certain visuals in a game then down grading, do you not feel Ubisoft is more focused on getting money rather than releasing a quality product? No matter how many times Ubisoft has bugs in thier games, or release an unfinished game, we still hand them over our money.
  11. JMASTER299. Although I may agree with some items you listed. Alot of what you wrote are generalizations, not 100% accurate. Not sure if that was the point, as in everyone does that. In that case your right, people take what they hear, factual or not, and apply those beliefs in a general way towards groups of people.
  12. It has been very intresting reading the comments. Some for and against, yet there is a point that may elude some. Ubisoft admits that making a female avatar is costly (ie more money to spend on production of game). For them it was easier and cheaper to just re use animation of the main protagonist. People concentrate on gender/"sexism". Rather than lowering cost of production ( ie money).
  13. NICKT im glad you brought up AC Liberation. The main character was female. However the sales and reviews were not stellar. I think Ubisoft saw how little sales that game had and figured it was because of the female lead.
  14. During E3, AC Unity creative director Alex Amancio was asked about the lack of a Female avatar for the new multiplayer mode of Assassin’s Creed. Amancio stated that there had been plans to include female avatar's for gamers to choose from. However "the reality of production", as stated by Amancio, was that creating a female avatar would create more work for the development team. The female avatar would require the team to create a female model with appropriate animations and voice work. While I can understand that creating a new character would be difficult, I don't believe that the inclusion of a female assassin would impact or delay development of the game. For me, the development team's real reason for not having variety in the multiplayer avatar's is budgetary and greed (on the side of Ubisoft). It is less costly to just reuse the animations and character model of the main protagonist. With a simple change of outfit (color swap), the development team can create "choices" for the player to choose from. Amancio states as much when he said "Because of that, the common denominator was Arno...so the only logical option, the only option we had, was to cut the female avatar." For me this sounds like Ubisoft is trying to keep their production costs down in order to maximize their profits. Others believe that the reasoning behind the lack of a female avatar to be nonsense. On twitter you can find the hashtag #womenaretoohardtoanimate, where thousands have taken to express their frustrations. How do you all feel? Do you think Ubisoft has a legitimate reason for not including a female avatar. Or do you feel like me and think Ubisoft just does not want to pay more production costs, release the game to endless hype, and make all of use triple their investment? 15. My favorite thing about the M8 is the battery life. I currently have a Samsung Blaze and I have to recharge the phone every night! I text, email, call, watch some video's, but I drain the battery quick. I turn off Bluetooth all the time, turn the brightness down, turn off WiFi, GPS, disable apps. I do everything that is recommended to increase battery life and still at the end of the day I have less than 30 % on the battery, From what I can see in the review video, Linus has several apps running in the background, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS on. And Linus mentioned that at the end of his day he has at least 40% battery left!! I want this Phone! Most phones look great, they have fancy features and promise great connectivity. But none of that matters if the battery lacks the power to run it all! I want this phone now,
