  1. sorry for the slow reply. i did run gpu-z in the end and found that i had an out of date driver even though when i checked originially it seemed they were up to date. thankyou for your time and help, without gpu-z i wouldnt have worked that out as fast
  2. No, ill try that tonight when home from work
  3. Ive been having a few issues with cpu running a bit hot, case fans were inefficient. but i believe that's all sorted now. Out of interest i went to check on GPU temps and have found furmark/ open hardware / msi afterburner doesn't show gpu info. had a bit of a investigate and cant work out why. I also have lost the ability to overclock (not that i normally do) all apps are up to date, as far as i can tell all drivers are up to date, GPU in mounted correctly. i have attached open hardware / furmark / msi screenshots for reference any info would be appreciated pc gpu info.odt
  4. I didnt notice any real temp difference moving fans or taking the side panel off, i have new thermal paste arriving tomorrow so will try reseating my cpu cooler once thats here. If that doesnt solve it, i guess its time to upgrade cpu cooler
  5. With game mode disabled it throttles to 3.9ghz and caps temps at around 92c
  6. Thats some good advice, i shall try that thankyou
  7. I'll test that this evening when im home from work.
  8. Hi, im using gamermax kage case. Got front 3 fans as intake, rear and top as exhaust. I belive its all set up correctly (can feel the air flow) but as its 1st build i may have messed something up.
  9. I shall buy some new paste and try that soon as possible, thankyou
  10. Hi, Im running ●Tomahawk b450 max ●Ryzen 5 3600 (Stock cooler) ●Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x 8 GB) DDR4 3600 MHz ● Red dragon rx 5600 xt gpu ●wd 500gb m.2 ssd ●baracuda 2tb hd ●corsair rm750W Enabled "game mode" and a-xmp so running at 4.2ghz cpu 3600 mhz dram When i run tests i get the following: furmark 1920x1080 - 134 fps, gpu temp 72°c Cinebench single core - cpu temp around 65°c,.score 1225, drawing 45watts All seems resonable. But when i run cinebench multicore cpu temps shoot up so fast (hit 105c after about 5 seconds so I stopped it) Is this just a case my cooler isnt up to the job or is it something ive possibly done in the build. If its just the cooler, what do people recommend i upgrade to. -edit- Forgot to note im running 3 intake 2 exhaust 120mm case fans upHere 120mm SYNC ARGB LED PC Cooling Fan Ultra Quiet High Airflow for Computer Case CPU Cooler,PF1207-5 https://amzn.eu/d/eQFe0AK
  11. thankyou! ive been thinking i was going crazy
  12. Computery peoples i need your help. Got a half decent rig, and when I run internet speed checks im running around 45mbps at the modem (little lower than it should be but I'll survive) That said, im hard wired in from modem to pc using cat 8 ethernet cable so shouldnt be any issues there, however my download speeds on both steam and xbox app are both around the 4.8-5.1mbps Ive checked nat, thats moderate (not sure why its not just open) all apps, drivers etc up to date. Checked natsh, windows auto tuning is normal. Im so lost why speeds are so slow
  13. Will look into both them cards, Yeah I plan to ugrade ssd, mainly just run OS of it at moment and everything else off the 2tb hd
  14. Yeah im hopeing will look good without upgrading but almost seems a waste to have a 4k and not use it to its full potential if that makes sense. I never thought about looking at used, budget isnt huge, but if it was worth it id spend a bit extra
  15. Im currently running ●Tomahawk b450 max ●Ryzen 5 3600 ●Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x 8 GB) DDR4 3600 MHz ● Red dragon rx 5600 xt gpu ●wd 500gb m.2 ssd ●baracuda 2tb hd ●corsair rm750W which runs everything i play great, but getting my hands on a 4k tv very soon. Was thinking of upgrading gpu as im 99% sure mines 1080p only. 1st question, will the rest of my system support a 4k gpu? 2nd - what is a good gpu that will run 4k without breaking the bank?
