For me, because I have a Razer keyboard, I can program inside Razer Synapse so that everytime I press A, instead of typing A, it replaces it with a field text, in this case, "AOC."
But for me I have it set up so that pressing scroll lock opens up the windows calculator app and that the right Alt key enables the Razer synapse autoclicker (I also have a Razer mouse) for 20 clicks a second.

Can anyone please tell me how they did this?
https://youtu.be/coVxNAYPzWo?t=554
and how it locks again?
And I think the "whenever he types a it turns to aoc" is because of a autohotkey script
a few more things at 10:10 what is the application with water drop system tray icon? and the one below it?

BonBonBourbon reacted to Mark Kaine in Issues when dual booting Linux Mint alongside Windows 10
Oof, this is precisely why im planning to install linux on its own drive and remove my win 10 os drive beforehand, so if i mess up the drive while "partitioning" or otherwise installing linux, ill just mess up an empty drive instead of my precious, self-hacked optimized win10 install…

BonBonBourbon reacted to MadmanRB in Issues when dual booting Linux Mint alongside Windows 10
Yes as what I am suggesting is to manually partition the drive as opposed to using mints automatic partitioning.
All mint really does is divide the drive in half between it and windows, and it uses the same boot partition windows does.
I fully realize manually partitioning sounds scary, but again it's far easier than it sounds as gparted is super easy once you get used to it, then you can use Mints "something else" option to ensure you install mint on the partitions you installed it to.
This is why before doing anything to your main machine try to install the system in virtualbox, it will help you learn things like gparted without it harming your system.
If you are concerned about windows overwriting grub this is the best path, but again its not as hard as it sounds.
The method in that video is just the easiest way to install Mint in a dual boot scenario, you can do it if you don't feel comfortable, and it will work, just a few caveats to consider.

No mint should not affect Windows. However note that mint will replace the windows bootloader with a bootloader called grub. If grub corrupts you wont be able to boot into windows.
To fix this you either need to boot into a linux mint live usb and choot to reinstall grub.
Yep thats fine.
4. What you are seeing is the output from the kernal attempting to load kernal modules (drivers)/configure the system during boot process. If the system boots to login screen/desktop without anything hanging/crashing there is nothing to worry about.
To install drivers open driver manager. It should give you the option to install the nvidia proprietary driver or the open source driver nouveau. Driver manager may suggest other drivers for other devices it finds.
Better to use linux partition manager as windows cannot read/create linux partitions.
But for me personally easiest way to install linux is to its own drive, just disconnect windows drive during install.
Selecting UEFI: SANDISK will boot the device in EFI mode. The other option will boot in legacy bios mode (non EFI mode).

Its not that often but on a personal note do brush up on learning how to partition your drive so you can have a separate partition for Windows boot and Linux boot.
If you are afraid of messing up your system, you can always use a virtual machine to practice using the linux partition tool.
In this case Linux mint it will use a tool called gparted, gparted is actually not that hard to use on itself but like anything there is a learning curve on reading how linux reads hard drives and such.
For example, instead of using the A, B or C naming system Linux uses its own system on drive partitions.
SDA1, 2, 3 for example.
Knowing this will be a good step in the right direction as remember this is a OS not a .exe so it must be handled with care, again its actually not that hard once you know what you are doing but still I would at least try to learn the ropes of linux in a virtual environment like virtualbox

I just said that politicians will definitely try to abuse it to their advantage, I didn't say they would be successful doing it.
It is a good thing, but from the description it is very vague. This one specifically:
Practically everything can be labelled misleading if you try hard enough.

BonBonBourbon reacted to Rohith_Kumar_Sp in [India] Social media platforms must remove content within 36 hours of govt order and other Censorship rules
With growing heat amongst users resorting to take it to social media and seeking foreign influence for affairs that are taking place in India, the govt has decided to tackle it by censoring the content instead.
Similar to linus's recent video about censorship in China which was released yesterday, India today has announced its gonna mandate all online media and social companies to remove content that Indian govt doesn't like similar to linus's "Chinese Steam"
This also means its a pink slip for the govt to remove any content they don't like

BonBonBourbon reacted to Master Disaster in Windows 21H2 (2021 Update 2) will be a total overhaul of the OS (Codenamed Sun Valley)
It seems as though Microsoft have some big plans for Windows in 2021, so big that PC Gamer have dubbed it "as close to Windows 11 as we're going to get".
The update will include a visual overhaul with a "softer design", new animations, a Windows 10X style Action Centre, an overhaul to Disk Management, per application control for systems with multiple GPUs and an overhaul to the audio stack.
Microsoft is set to launch Windows 10X in the next few months so it would make sense for them to try and unify 10 with 10X and they're currently recruiting for a BIG update as was pointed out on Twitter
Since 21H1 is already being worked on its fair to assume that it will be the usual bug fixes and small quality of life issues which leaves PCG to theorise the big update will be 21H2 and likely come in Oct or Nov 2021.
Here's PC Gamers full breakdown of everything, its pretty big so I'll spoiler it.

Damn, if they FINALLY sort out the Settings & Control Panel consolidation I'll be happy.

@Flannelist& @MisfitaquaThanks for the help I'll try removing CMOS battery before I buy a new one
-
BonBonBourbon reacted to Misfitaqua in BIOS PROBLEM
Most probably your battery is dead just replace it and should be fine.
-
BonBonBourbon reacted to Flannelist in BIOS PROBLEM
I believe they likely meant CMOS battery. There is a button cell battery on the board that keeps track of the BIOS settings when the computer does not have power. It basically forces the board to detect everything again when you start up because the board literally can't remember without power from this battery. In my experience, the most tell tale sign of this is that clock settings will not stick or time/date shows incorrectly in OS.
-
BonBonBourbon reacted to Flannelist in BIOS PROBLEM
Seems kind of weird, especially if it's not happening every time, you usually power on the way you described? rather than waking from sleep? I might have to think about it a little as far as the other symptoms. It might just be that pressing enter can't recover BIOS settings because there aren't any to recover. But replacing that battery is probably not a bad start, particularly if you have had the machine a while.
It's not usually a special battery or anything. Typically they are CR2032s which is super common as far as button cells go. But if you open up the case it should be fairly obvious on the board, unless it's covered by a component. You can pull them out pretty easily and there should be a number on the + side of the battery telling you which it is. It might even be worth it to unplug the computer, turn off the power supply (if it has its own power switch) and pull this battery for a few minutes, then put it back in and see if that changes anything.
