  1. Fixed. Turns out im a moron and in my rush to get everything hooked up I plugged one end of the HDMI into the TV and the other into my monitor instead of the GPU lol. Thank you very much for your reply though.
  2. Hmm I wonder if there is some kind of setting im missing? I should just be able to set up multi display from the display settings menu right?
  3. I have a RTX 2060 and someone told me before that I would be able to run my new monitor on DP and use the 43" TV I have for my xbox as a second display hooked up with HDMI at the same time. But when I go to display settings to activate multi display it does not detect the TV. Is it even possible to use DP and HDMI at the same time or am I gonna have to connect the monitor using HDMI (my 2060 has 3 DP and only 1 HDMI which is why I was trying to do it this way) as well? Or is there something I am missing? Or could I use a DP to HDMI adapter and plug that into one of the DP outs on my video card? The TV only has HDMI no DP btw which is why im trying to use both. Sorry for all the questions but I just built this PC after not have a computer for a very long time. If it helps here is the monitor I got. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824236994?Item=N82E16824236994 And the TV is just a VIZIO D43-D1
  4. Im looking for a monitor for my new PC, Ryzen 5 3600 and a RTX 2060 and I really have no idea where to start, but from what I do know this looks pretty good especially for the price. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it? Or any thoughts about it or any better suggestions for something better? I would like to stay around $250 and I was thinking around 27" {till i saw this} mostly for casual gaming ARPGs WOWS WOT that sort of thing and occasional FPS. Also it says its has freesync so am I even going to be able to use it with my nvidia gpu? https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-1920x1080-FreeSync-DisplayPort-C326B-185RD/dp/B088GWZ6YD/ref=psdc_1292115011_t1_B07TXM7K4T?th=1
  5. Cool thank you very much for your response
  6. Awsome thank you very much. Now if I could only choose a monitor lol.
  7. Im waiting on the parts to arrive for my first PC build and am looking for a monitor while im waiting, im planning to just use the 35" tv I use for my xbox for now and when I am finally able to choose a monitor use the tv as a second display but now im starting to wonder if that will work. I got a RTX 2060 that has 1 HDMI and 3 DP outputs will I be able to run the TV off the HDMI and the monitor off the DP at the same time or does it have to be one or the other?
  8. Awesome thank you so much that is cheaper than the one I was about to get from new egg. Also does this cable seem ok? I was expecting 100 foot cable to be more. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16812119183?Item=N82E16812119183
  9. Awesome thank you all very much for the response
  10. I have searched but dident really find an answer. My modem is in another room on the other side of the house along with the router that our ISP provided but my new computer and my xbox are in another room on the other side of the house and I really want to wire both, I have been using the xbox wireless but now that im building a new computer thats going in the same room I think its worth it to actually run cable. So can I use a switch and run just 1 cable from the ISP provided router to a switch in the other room then from the switch out to both the xbox and new computer? Or do I actually need to run a separate cable from each to the router?
