So I found a solution and I'm gonna post it here just in case anyone else has the same issue. In my case my boot order was set to Windows Boot Manager on Disk D while my actual OS is obviously on C. I just changed the boot priority to the Windows Boot Manager on my actual boot drive. It then booted into disk repair, not quite sure why, but it finished that up in like 15 seconds and now boots just fine straight into windows.

So this isn't technically a desperate cry for help. Basically I was preparing my PC for Windows 11, activating TPM and Secure Boot. To get Secure Boot to work I had to disable CSM and then convert my boot drive from MBR to GPT. That all went well but now whenever I turn on my computer it first boots into self repair and I have to select "continue to Windows 10". It boots fine after that but it's a bit of a hassle to do every time. Do I re-enable CSM or something? Or is there something else I'm missing?

So I installed the 250 (The EVGA Hybrid is a pain to remove by the by) and was able to boot to windows so I guess we know for sure that the 1080 is dead. Thinking of replacing it with something like a 2060 super once I can afford it since they seem to be roughly equivalent but the 2060's much cheaper. Thanks for the advice, I don't know if I would've had the courage to try to 250 on my own as silly as that sounds. At least I an access my files if I need to in the meantime.

Reseating the GPU and the power connectors had no effect. Switching to the second BIOS had the motherboard hang on code b4 (USB hot plug) for about 15 seconds before settling on d6 again. Resetting using JBAT 1 also didn't work. The monitor remained unresponsie the whole time. The GPU is getting power, the EVGA logo on the side lights up and the fans spins, it just doesn't seem to be outputting. Thanks for the advice though.

This is my first post here so let me know if I break any rules. I tried booting this morning after I woke up and as usual I left before it finished to brush teeth etc. When I came back the PCs lights were on, the LED readout was showing CPU temp around norman but the fans on the GPU (EVGA 1080 hybrid) where spinning like crazy and there was no display out. I rebooted and this time it started normally, no crazy fans but again the monitors didn't respond, they didn't even cycle through inputs they just remained asleep. I shut down and rest the CMOS, after which I got the error code d6 which translates to "No console output detected". I don't have much else to troubleshoot with as my CPU doesn't have intergrated graphics and the only other gpu I have laying around is a GTS-250 that needs its thermal past replaced and likely doesn't work anyway as its been sitting in my room for nearly a decade. System specs are as follows. MSI x99A Tomahawk i7-6800k 16GB (4x4GB) 3200Mhz EVGA GTX-1080 Hybrid Antec Earthwatts 750W Windows 10 Home The PSU was replaced recently but it's been working fine since. I'm fairly certain that the 1080 died though it was very sudden as it was working less than 12 hours ago and nothing happened since it was shut down last. I'm not sure if there's anything thing I can do other than replaced the card but I was hoping for a second opinion before I commit.
