  1. I attempted at doing the USB thing, my system refused to boot any other way other than to boot up Windows like normal. If I opted to select the USB with Ubuntu on it, the system stops at the black screen with the underscore in the upper left-hand corner. I don't think I'm savvy enough to work that path...
  2. So I do have realtek ready to download... The files are all there, but no matter what I do, it seems as though the system refuses to download the driver properly. With these attached images (tried this method through a YouTube video) you can see the Realtek drivers are there, but everytime I click Next it shows that error message, and obviously if I go through with it, it gives me the blue screen error telling me that something went wrong and then auto restarts.
  3. I'm not entirely sure how to do any of that stuff... I'm very novice when it comes to getting into troubleshooting and what have you.
  4. I have a x470 Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero Wi-fi
  5. Well the issue is that I didn't realize it upon purchase, but my mobo is actually used. I bought it off Amazon and thought it'd still be a safe bet, but APPARENTLY not... But if that's the only issue I have with this mobo then I got a great deal out of it in the long run. Usually runs for around $400.00 and I got it for just under $200. So, I'll take a flimsy $50 sound card and fix my issue, thank you so much for your help on this issue though, I greatly appreciate you trying to help me through all this!
  6. Do you think if I bought a sound card that maybe that could alleviate the issue? That way I could just have the audio reliant on the card versus the motherboard? I'm not sure if that even works or makes sense, but it sounds like a cheaper and cleaner route to go versus replacing my motherboard entirely.
  7. Also, it shows the Realtek HIgh Definition Audio Driver when I go to Apps & Features. I can uninstall it, but that's the only place I can seem to locate anything relating to Realtek other than my Bluetooth Realtek Driver.
  8. Went into BIOS, the HD Audio Controller was already enabled. Somehow I have to communicate to my system that my graphics card is not responsible for reading audio playback... I can hook up my headset to the back of my monitor and hear audio just fine. There's no way for me to obtain any other driver other than the "AMD High Definition Audio Device".
  9. I attempted to install the Realtek driver directly from their website, but once it runs the InstallWizard and has me restart my computer and everything, it still refuses to show anything Realtek related in my entire system. I just feel like I'm installing a virus over and over or something. I've never had an issue with not having Realtek or having an issue with something downloading and then not appearing somewhere to show proof that it exists somewhere.... This might be quite literally the most anger I have ever had pent up towards a computer issue...
  10. So I think my issue is that I somehow don't have Realtek Audio on my list. Somehow I have the Realtek Bluetooth, but not plain Realtek. I've tried going to their website and downloading the driver from them, but either my system doesn't accept the download or it's downloading and not actually doing anything because when I go back to look at what audio drivers I have installed it still just shows the AMD High Definition Audio Device (not plugged in).
  11. I'm assuming I have the most up to date windows since I just recently setup this system. I'll give DDU a shot, I know these windows updates have been killer, so really hoping that this can resolve the issue.
  12. Haha, no it's not muted. The system refuses to even recognize it, so I wish it was as simple as unmuting it...
  13. Well then this has to be some sort of driver issue or something..
