@SkilledRebuilds First of all I'm sorry for making multiple threads, I got no answers on the first one. I'd like to say that there was no gaming experience to begin with since the first few games I installed and launched kept crashing no matter what I did I can try underclocking the memory and seeing if that works but rolling back to the older BIOS did nothing so I don't think that's the issue. I am almost certain it's Wattman as many other forums said it doesn't play very well with adrenalin but then again I'm not 100% sure. Any help is greatly appreciated and again I'm sorry for making 2 threads.

about 1200 USD or approx 7850 Yuan, you will want (assuming you can find them) : a Ryzen 5 3600 a 3060 Ti a B550 board 16Gb (2x8) of 3200Mhz CL16 RAM and a 750w PSU at least from a reputable brand You will also need a good case, an SSD and a HDD Edit: you can cut corners by maybe getting a mATX board and a bit less storage

Maybe the AIO if you can afford it but the H212 is still a very adequate cooler and the 5600x isn't a hot running chip

As the title reads I'm trying to delete or disable Wattman. I have a RX 5600XT and since I got it every single game I launch has been crashing and I just want to play games on my new rig. I tried everything, rolling back the drivers, rolling back to an older vBIOS (I have a Gigabyte Rev 1.0 card and I updated to get the 14Gbps) and I even tried DDU-ing the drivers and reinstalling them. Every time I crash I get an error message saying it's a driver problem and a notification from Wattman saying my fan curve and overclock was reset. Then someone here on the forum said Wattman is the thing causing my issue and I should disable or delete it. They said I have to DDU the drivers and install them without Wattman which I don't know how to do. So would anyone be able to help? Thanks! Edit: I know that Wattman is the older software for AMD but I don't even know how it gets on my system, when I first installed drivers I installed Adrenalin version 20.12.1

what cpu should i put in a pc with a GTX 1650
Som3a replied to V3noe's topic in New Builds and Planning
Perfect, it supports 3rd gen no problem, even 5th gen -
That's hard to accomplish with your budget the cheapest RTX capable card at the moment is the 3060 Ti it's 400 bucks and that's the MSRP so it's a lot more expensive. RGB AND RTX aren't very achievable at this budget. Bump up your budget or settle for less performance is my advice Edit: That sounded rude, I'm sorry about that, my point is that you have to make compromises when you have a tight budget and can't get everything

What settings are you looking to play at because Cyberpunk is a AAA game while Minecraft can run on entry level hardware. for 5000 Yuans or approx 750 bucks you will probably end up with (assuming you can find any of it) : a Ryzen 3 3300x a 1660 super a B450 board that supports 3rd gen Ryzen 16Gb of 3200mhz CL16 RAM a case you like that has some airflow and a 600w PSU from a reputable brand.

Will run just fine, its a 75w TDP card and doesn't even need external power, can take all of it's power directly through the PCIe slot. However if your PSU has a 6 pin PCIe connector be sure to use it

Don't splurge on RGB, you're on a tight budget so get yourself some 60-70 dollar ram of the same capacity and speed, not the 115 dollar stuff. Then for your CPU a Ryzen 3 3100 or 3300x if you can find them are pretty good with this card, you can probably step up to a Ryzen 5 3600 (if you can find one) but I don't see the point since it's just a 1650. -

Oh okay, how would I go about uninstalling it then?
-
Thank you so much, I will try that whenever I am able to but I am still a bit confused about Wattman. I open my Radeon settings using Alt+R and tune my fan curves from there. What does wattman exactly have to do with this and how would I uninstall it? Sorry I'm more of a hardware person than a software person and don't really understand how any of this works.

Built the pc a few days ago, the card was bought in April, crashes in all games but YouTube is fine. I have a R5 3600 and a Corsair CV650 Edit: I'd like to clarify I only have 2 games for now but I'm planning to install more later because of my limited wifi package, sometimes they crash immediately sometimes they run for a few minutes then crash, the games are Minecraft and Rocket League

I am using Adrenalin 2020, at least I think so, never heard of Wattman until a few days ago when it started crashing, I just get a notification saying that Wattman settings were reset. Any idea on how to "switch" to Adrenalin??

Never has any issues booting, just when launching games
-
As the title reads, my games crash immediately after launching them. I'm running a Gigabyte 5600XT Gaming OC. I have the latest AMD drivers and the latest F3 vBIOS. I have tried everything I could think of: flashing an older vBIOS (F2), rolling back to an older driver version, DDU-ing the drivers and reinstalling them and even reseating my card. I used to get this error message But now I no longer get it for some reason, also, my WattMan settings keep resetting on their own whenever I restart. I have no idea what the issue is and all I want is to play games on my new rig. Any help is appreciated.
-
Sadly, it didn't work. I'm starting to think it might be the vBIOS I flashed. I am open to any other solutions. Either way thank you so much for the help.
-
Thank you so much, I will try that. Hopefully it works

Sorry for the ignorance but what is DDU and how would I go about doing that?
