  1. Yeah, I forgot to add my target, it's 1440p and 144hz. So I'm trying to find a good jump in performance, and since my card was a 5700XT, I wouldn't have that jump with a 3070. So my aim is, at least, starting with the RX 6800 models.
  2. Hey guys, you all doing good? I'm from Brazil and currently in the market for a new card, but things are real ugly here. My PC is dead until I buy a new one. My target is 1440p 144hz and occasionally I use the TV and play on 4k. I literally have 3 options: RX 6800 reference RTX 3080 Zotac Trinity RTX 3080 MSI GAMING TRIO The RX 6800 is from Gigabyte and they offer 3 year warranty, although I have never used it. It costs R$ 5200,00. The math around here is simple: Take the official MSRP in dollars and multiply in 10x or add a zero to the right, sorta of. The Zotac one is 20% more expensive than the RX 6800, but here in Brazil they have a really bad reputation in which they offer 2 year warranty that doesn't work. I have seen reports of people taking 10 months to get their money back from Zotac's RMA. The MSI one is 40% more expensive than the RX 6800, but MSI is really good around here and the card itself is much better than the Zotac's. The question: Would a significant better performance, better ray tracing, DLSS, better card and brand overall(MSI, at least here) be worth 40% more? Thanks to you all.
  3. Around 30 minutes. Here I'm getting 65.9-66ns, think its enough to reach 155fps in multiplayer games like BF1, BFV, COD MW.
  4. Configured two instances of memtest with 2gb, one of them just past 100% with 0 errors and the other is at 60% also with 0 errors, is it enough?
  5. Yeah, at 1.4v the MOBO won't post. Just got a 66.6ns latency now with tRC 40 and tRFC 288. What would be better in general, 3600 14-14-14-28 or 3733 16-16-16-36?
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't common knowledge that 1.45v is safe for b-die? Even 1.5v? Thanks for the heads up, I had changed the primary timings and the motherboard did the rest. I just put tRC at 40 and tRFC at 288 and managed to get 53655MB/s.
  7. Hey fellas, today I got my pair of Spectrix D80 3600 CL17 and I managed to put them at 14-14-14-28 3600 1.45v, but the aida scores doesn't seem right: Shouldn't the latency be lower than that? Power Down is disabled.
  8. Hi, The reason I'm upgrading is mainly because of my monitor's refresh rate, and because of that, I'm targetting 155fps and the 2700 is letting me a little disappointed. I managed to get the ram to post at 3066mhz but I had to put 1.4V and loose the timings to 18-20-20-40. So no performance gains whatsoever. I have increased the SoC voltage as well, but no real difference. Maybe my 2700 is not a good chip. Thank you for your attention. Yea, I'm hoping so. Thank you guys for the answers.
  9. Hey fellas, Everyone's good? I'm from Brazil and I recently purchased a 3800x to replace my current R7 2700. The CPU has not arrived yet. Thing is: I have a BIOSTAR X370 GT7. The 3800x should probably work fine with this board, but I'm concerned with ram speed issues, right now I can't post past 2966mhz and they are Micron D die. I think that is because of the 2700 and, with the 3800x, things will probably be better, or I'm wrong? So, considering the worst case scenario where this is not going to work as expected, I started considering a MOBO upgrade, but there is a catch: The prices today are going full crazy here, and a so so so MOBO is costing 3x the price I paid for the one that I have here. Will a entry-level x570 be better than a x370 that has superior components, but inferior software? Thanks in advance and sorry for any mispelling.
