For days now I have been searching how to use my Nikon D5100 as a webcam since I want to start giving online courses. I could use my computers webcam, but it seems such a waste not to go for a much higher quality and use my DSLR.
I have bought a HDMI cable to connect the camera to the Mac, and have installed Screenflow as the video tool. However, the Mac does not seem to find or recognize the signal from my camera. I am now at a loss ... Do I need another device between the camera and the Mac, or another video tool, or something else ...?
