I don't see what all excitement is about. It's not like it's a once in a lifetime event.

I'd be more worried about the dirt and grime collection on the fan ending up in my computer.

Its a disrespectful to Freddy Mercurys' legacy.

Rocketdog2112 got a reaction from Blue4130 in What SSD Fits This Adapter?
On a whim I stopped by the local pawn shop after work and lo and behold, they had a Samsung T5 1tb portable storage on the shelf. They were asking $27, but they accepted $20.
Got it home, tested it and gutted out the mSATA drive which fit the caddy perfectly.
Loaded Windows 10 and runs like a champ.
BTW, I contacted the eBay seller informing them that the carrier they had listed as a M.2 caddy was actually a mSATA interface. They immediately refunded my money and told me to do whatever with the caddy.
So a free caddy and a 1tb Samsung 860 EVO drive equivalent for $20?
Going to keep an eye out for the 2tb edition.
Yeah, it's older and slower, but still an interesting cheap hack.

Appreciate the replies.
Evidently mSATA drives in 1tb are scarce and expensive. The best option looks the be a Samsung 860 Evo.
But then i ran across a Reddit article that talked about the Samsung Portable T5 SSD which is available in 2tb and uses a mSATA card. Basically you just gut the card out of the T5 and drop it into the mSATA adapter housing.

Just more excuses.
And yes, two bankruptcies that had zero to do with how i handle my finances.

Just more solvable excuses.
I purchased my first house in 2009 using a First Time Homeowner program. No down payment with a small short term PMI addendum. My payment was $365 month for a small two bedroom wood frame house on an acre.
Houses too high in your area?
1. Lower your expectations.
2. Move somewhere where the cost of living and housing is cheaper.
3. If the houses are high in your area, so is the rent.
4. High interest rates? Join a Credit Union.
Last year I refinanced my current house through my credit union and dropped my interest rate from 5.62% to 2.35% on a 15 year note.
5. Bad credit? YOU and only you can do something about that. I been through two bankruptcys. Got through them a worked hard to rebuild my credit. Hence the aforementioned 2.35 APR.
The majority of people who say they can't afford to buy a house are just misinformed or too lazy to do the legwork. All the while they are throwing away nearly $1000 a month for rent.

Rocketdog2112 reacted to Falkentyne in Living without a cellphone of any kind. Is it possible?
This is the biggest troll thread I've seen in quite awhile.
Phones are essential now.
Not just for being able to CONTACT people when you need to contact someone (however, discord, SMS/call, whatever), sometimes you *need* to reach someone quickly.
GPS is also invaluable. You can look where something is and know where you're going live. If you have a car, you can have the maps update. If you're riding a bicycle or on the bus, same thing. Now you tell me right now you're going to be HOLDING a laptop on your bicycle while trying to ride and find a location and I'll gladly sell you some land in Florida, alligator and mosquito free.
Many places also require you to have a phone# as contact or security. Not having one can make it difficult if they don't have a system for only email or "landline" voice calls.
I got my first ever phone (on low income support) in 2017. Once I finally had one, I realized they are extremely valuable because that's how life is these days. Comparing to how tedious things were in the 1990's for example, I'm very happy I have it.

No it's not.
People pay way more in rent than the monthly payment on a house.
If credit is a problem, it's within your ability to fix it. It takes time, but it can be done.

Yeah, except the fraudulent activity of purposely damaging goods with the intent of returning them for replacement or refund is not only captured on video, but as LTTMedia Group owns the channel, the fraud committed is done to profit from advertisers and viewership.
A big difference than public Joe damaging something because he's a dumbass and returning it.
