No the capacitors etc within a PSU will explode if it's old / or bad quality

Naul reacted to AndreiArgeanu in looking to upgrade
What is your budget?
Ideally you're looking at either a ryzen 5 3600 or maybe an i5 10400F or 10600F (maybe wait for the new r5 3600XT) and
An rtx 2060 super/RX 5700(XT or non-xt), they should make for a solid upgrade and will provide a significantly better experience.
Now there are 2 things to keep in mind, AMD is planning to launch a refresh of their current chips, I believe they have higher clocks and better overclocking. And AMD and nvidia will launch their next generation gpu's around Q4 this year. So if you can wait for that, then I'd suggest doing so. If the upgrade is a must then go for it. I'll leave a pc part picker list below, assuming that you're going to reuse, the PSU, ram, case and storage from your current system.

Naul reacted to MrBom in Surround sound stopped working - Windows 10 issue (SOLVED)
So today there was not sound at all! I even reinstalled the driver again...
I found this thread on a Nvidia forum, and turning the volume slide from 100 to 0 and back to 100 fixed the problem.

Naul got a reaction from kirashi in 5Ghz Wifi causing sleeping disorders?
your phone radiation is nothing but like a small ant in your room wont hurt, but Several phones using 5G wifi would be harmful A bit or not.
And Don't think about sleeping when you go to sleep you wont sleep at all, just keep thinking about something till you get tired.

Naul got a reaction from kirashi in 5Ghz Wifi causing sleeping disorders?
It's better to turn off your Router before sleeping if you don't want to waste some radiation in your house
I do that always so i won't worry about KB being wastes in hours.

The temperature in Asia and middle east are pretty high nowdays, your room temperature might be the problem.
But nothing stops you to renew your Thermal paste.

Without saying much get Windows 10.
if you like being risky and have a full paid antivirus go for windows 7 if you want a lighter OS.

Naul reacted to Master Disaster in Windows Installation Help
Not quite. You can either download the Media Creation Tool or an ISO, the ISO will need "flashing" to the USB drive before you can boot from it (something like RUFUS can do that), the MCT will handle the process of downloading Windows and creating the USB installer in such a way as it will be bootable and it does it all seamlessly. Either way you need a working computer to create the installer, MCT is Windows only, macOS & Linux both have ways of doing it too but neither is as simple as Microsoft's own solution.
What does this even mean?

Naul got a reaction from Didarul Hossain Rafi in GPU fan issue / curve
If you are living in a place where things go dusty too much, then you might need to clean your pc once a week, to avoid dust bumping on your fan creating layers that will eventually slow down your fan or might just have it not working correctly.
that will cause the problem.
Consider cleaning your PC every week so you avoid replacing new fans.
I suggest you use SpeedFan to see if your fans are running in the correct speed.

Naul reacted to RageTester in Battery problems whit my laptop
Minimal screen brightness might give you some extra time away from the wall... On the bright side laptop gets lighter when you remove battery. There should be some better built-in software to save batteries.
I'll just add, never ever leave laptop on the floor during winter night in a cabin that is only heated by fireplace.

Naul got a reaction from RageTester in Battery problems whit my laptop
If you were using your battery During hardcore gaming, or for like using it on already charged 100% and not Taking it off
Then this is pretty normal to happen.
if you want to extend your battery life then you got to change your power plan option to battery saving.
Never use High performance setting while the battery is on, like that you are draining and charging the battery which makes its tired.
that's if your battery type is Lithium.
Or get a new battery that matches your laptop.
My Older HP envy 15 laptop got it battery dead because of that reason.
it only lasts 10 minutes when playing games like CS:GO in high performance settings.

Maybe you can use Network service to share files from your other pc, rather than just browsing and downloading files.

Naul reacted to mariushm in Does ''Liquid cooling technology''' cool down your battery?
IMHO It's more of a joke... most likely it's just a super thin heat pipe with a drop of water in it, moving heat from battery to some other area spreading it over some larger surface.
You have a very basic alternative... cooling battery comes up only because you're using quick charge or whatever is called to charge the battery at high current... charging battery at high currents will warm up the battery.
Just use a more basic charger that can only charge at 1A or some lower current, it will take longer to charge but battery will stay cold.
Regular phone usage is unlikely to cause battery to overheat.
