Haha, I've had that sentiment from a few people commenting on the videos too 😂. Then again I could spend a few days in my basement and not get bored, certainly enough to work on lol.

I do miss Ivan though, he had an interesting sense of humour. He was never dull to chat with that's for sure!

OK, try reformatting the drive to FAT32 instead of NTFS. Although that shouldn't make a difference, it could.

You can clone your hdd using something like macrium relfect free.

As for programs, you can try connecting the drive and then navigating to the .exe and run it. If the program does not open/work correctly no other choice but to reinstall them.

Raina21 reacted to VirusDumb in Has PUBG mobile ruined the Indian gaming community?(how can we revive it?)
SOoOoO, PUBG mobile is the most popular android game in India. But Indian government is considering about banning the game along with 274 other chinese apps. So now is a very good time to discuss what led to it's rise and how it almost destroyed the gaming community of India.
    What led to it's rise?
The most common thing people are blaming for it's rise is the pricing of gaming consoles and PC in India, and then the middle class community of India.
There were many families in India back in early 2010s who didn't own a PC, why you ask? See because middle class families divide their purchases into 2 parts needs and luxury, needs include things such as a phone, refrigerator, car etc(basically anything which has a purpose). And luxury included things which you can have but you can Survive without em like an air-conditioner, a Computer(in those time only few people owned a computer at home, because they didn't use it much and all the purpose of having an computer can be fulfilled in a cyber cafe).
And even if people had a computer it was usually a low end and used only once in a month for educational purposes. And gaming is seen as a waste of time by many Indian parents.

That was about the middle class and now about the pricing. See in India you can easily afford a smart phone capable of running PUBG easily around Rs 10,000 ($150) but building a PC which can run Pubg even at 720p will cost around Rs 30000($400) so it's costlier and average income of middle class families are usually around Rs 45000($600)(it may seem too low or high based on which state in India you're from). So obviously ur parents won't buy you a PC with that budget. But hold on, one of the negative effect of Pubg mobile on gaming community is the reversing of this.

So when pubg came out it was the first time many people got to enjoy a esport competitive game.(even tho there were Counter-strike tournament which weren't popular).

How it ruined the gaming community?
Well by 2019 PUBG mobile was the biggest gaming community in India. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also aware of the craze the game has spread. An event was organized where Modiji talked with different parents and students for the development of youth, a woman complained that his son spends all his day on mobile playing games, to this Modi's first reply was "yeh pubg Wala hai Kya?"("is this about Pubg?") Then he replied
So the effect of gaming community is? Downfall of console and pc gaming in India, even streamers who streamed COD and counter-strike stopped streaming those and streamed pubg mobile on emulators to gain more viewers.

As I told the pricing issue had been reversed, people started buying expensive phones costing 60k-80k Rs just to play PUBG mobile on high settings.
    This things happened
(Here it has been asked if given the 3 option which one would you like to game on)
    Things like this happened

And MEMEs like this came to existence

So how can we fix it?

Personally I don't want to judge what people are playing and which platform they are playing, but I just want them to stop spending ridiculous amount of money on it, and stop doing weird shit like this

They're blaming the game and it's community for this things.

Not that I would it past people, because one should never underestimate the human potential for truly extraordinary levels of stupidity, but I just can't imagine a mining resurgence. It's not going to work out any better this time than the last time, and no one's getting rich off this unless you're stealing your neighbor's power. Then, you better hope to make enough to cover the legal fees when you get arrested.

I also don't see Nvidia unilaterally raising card prices. They already took the historic step of lowering their prices because AMD was eating their lunch. They're not going to cede ground now. Also, they can't reasonably sell their new hardware if the current gen is not only occupying the same price point as it was, but now even higher. You might have a few extreme enthusiasts willing to part with $2000 for a GPU, but it would seriously dent their sales, which is the exact opposite of what you want for a new hardware launch. Their shareholders would eat them alive. If they really were going to have to raise current gen prices, they put a complete hold on the next gen.

I do feel that the kid needs to take personal responsibility.

But also micro transactions and loot boxes and gambling in gaming needs a crack down hard. Targeting kids and teens is not okay. There are studies on this addiction in things like gambling and loot boxes with a dopamine rush to the brain.

My younger relatives have been fed advertising for sports and horse gambling so it's normalised for them.

All well and good saying that it's personal responsibility and free choice, except they use human nature and psychology on people. Weak minded or just a typical flawed human ?

Spending should be capped or large transactions flagged, I think they should get a refund, they essentially provided nothing and it would cost them very little to remove/revert skins off the account.

Ideally the whole thing needs to piss off, it's toxic.

After GST, the price spikes. REALLY. Also, this COVID situation has made pc parts much costlier.(For that Mobo, well I wanted an ATX with just a little bit of RGB, and that motherboard appealed a lot to me, I could not resist buying it). Still if the dealer agrees, I will try to get a i5 9400f as a replacement for the i3)

Replace it, but not with a 9900k, Instead wait for both AMD and Intel to release their latest chips. This way, you could also benefit as I am pretty sure that Intel will play some price games just to remain competitive. Also, the threadrippers were meant for server and heavy duty workstation work, not for gaming. Thats like getting a Xeon to game on. Nearly no better performance, just the server grade chips are costlier(here in India they are, dunno about where you live). A dual 2080ti offers no benefit over a single in most games, and also most games dont recognize double GPU(Linus said in one of his videos I think, where he had some issue related to that sort of thing). To sum up, In my opinion, just go for a 10th gen i9(if it's Intel you want, but just wait for AMD 3rd gen just to get some better pricing)
