  1. Bought a new Gigabyte Aorus Z690 motherboard and installed it with a new i7 12700k. Computer wouldn’t post and was on a continuous boot loop. I took it into Canada Computers for diagnosis and they informed me that there was a bent pin on the motherboard and the board would need to be replaced. I watched the LTT and other videos on how to correct bent pins, but think I made the situation worse. Does this still seem salvageable?
  2. Issues seems to have been with the 24 Pin MB extension cable. System boots fine now with a direct cable connection.
  3. Hey, Thanks for the response. The rocker switch is switched to On. As far as I can tell, everything is plugged in correctly. On my previous case, I had several of the individual connectors for the front panel like below. On this case, however, it seems they just have an F_Panel connector that plugs in the same slots and I assume serves the purpose of several of these: Based on my motherboard manual, I believe this should be plugged in correctly..
  4. Hey there! I'm running into some issues with a new PC build. I'm pretty novice to PC builds and this is my first solo build. I can't seem to get the system to power on (i.e., no reaction when pressing the power button and no lights/indicators on or shining when plugged into power). I'm not sure if it's something very obvious that I've missed connecting or connected incorrectly, but I've been scanning my motherboard manual and I'm pretty sure all the front panel connectors are plugged in, so the power button should be working. I've also made sure the PSU is switched on, and I believe all cables that need to be plugged in, are.. but I'm really not sure. For some background, the new components here are the NZXT H7 Flow (Case), NZXT Kraken Z73 (360mm) and RTX 3080. I transferred the MOBO, RAM, CPU & PSU and from my previous NZXT S340 Elite case. I did buy cable extensions from LinkUP on amazon (8 PIn / 24 PIN) but I've tried connecting both with and without these cables and neither seems to make a difference. I've attached some photos of my board and connectors just in-case there's something obvious that I've just missed plugging in/plugged incorrectly. System: Case: NZXT H7 Flow GPU: Gigabyte OC RTX 3080 CPU: Intel i7 8700K AIO: Kraken Z73 360mm PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G3, 80 Plus Gold 850W Motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus XI hero Z390 (WiFi) - Intel 8th & 9th Gen Storage: Samsung 860 Evo SATA, Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVME Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I'm really hoping it's just a simple mistake I've made with this being my first build and not an issue with any of the components. Plugged in: VGA, VGA 2, CPU1, MB, SATA1
  5. Hello, I've been running into an issue that's really more of a hindrance than a dead stop. Every time I restart my computer and attempt to boot back up, my computer will hang on the Republic Of Gamers splash screen with the loading wheel spinning. It often hangs on this screen for 5+ minutes. Sometimes if I hit keys on my keyboard if seems to trigger it to boot up but that may be more of a placebo. Once the system fully boots up, I have zero issues. It's only when actually trying to boot up issues occur. My motherboard is an Asus Maximus XI Hero and my boot drive is a Samsung 970 EVO. Not sure if this is relevant but my mouse and keyboard are both wireless with USB dongles plugged into front of my PC. Thought it may be related to it not detecting a mouse and keyboard and hanging because of that, but that's just an uneducated guess.
