  1. I am basically using the laptop for school since they just started using Google Classroom instead of the traditional notebook form. The laptop sometimes feel sluggish. For example this morning i was on a zoom call and i tried to open a few edge tabs i could notice the laptop struggling by how laggy the sound of the meeting was.
  2. This one seems good. Are the speakers good?
  3. I need a laptop with the following specs : - 13 - 14 inch - Quad core CPU - 8 - 16 GB of RAM - Good speakers - 1080P Screen - Somewhat a good webcam My budget is below US$500 I currently own a HP EliteBook 840 G3 but it seems that its not enough for my use.
  4. So there's basically no point of changing my cooling solution to something more "passive"? An air cooler? Or a 120mm radiator?
  5. I just recently moved to a new house. I have never thought about how much heat my computer could throw at me. I have this silly problem in which the upper part where the radiator seats is basically sending some heat to desk and then to me. I live in a pretty hot country in where the temperature normally goes from 26-32°C . I have tried to put the computer in my desk but it is still quite uncomfortable. I have this cooler master masterliquid ml240l v2 rgb which i bought couple of months ago for my Intel cpu. I would like to know what could i do in case to get rid of this annoying heat. Im willing to spend some money if necessary.
  6. Hi , i currently own a GTX 1080 TI ROG STRIX edition. Its pretty overkill for some of my gaming. I mostly play CS:GO competitively and i like to take advantage of the famous called "stretched" resolution but sometimes my GPU seems to deny the resolution by taking me out of the game. It sometimes fixes itself when restarting but this is pretty annoying. I had done so many things to fix this , from : DDU to verifying the game files. I have even changed some of the NVIDIA control panel options which doesnt seem to work. The only thing that mostly fixes the issue is getting back to the normal 1080p resolution. I just want to get the competitive advantage without sacrificing much. In a few words , the game basically minimizes itself whenever im trying to get in. PS: I just noticed that this bug is happening with some other games too. When there is some type of graphical change that requires the monitor to go into a black screen is when the bug happens.
  7. From a spec pov its obvious that the 1080TI is better but from the benchmarks that i saw the 5700 XT outperforms the 1080TI by a couple more of FPS. Knowing that i will get more FPS and the ability to use Hardware Acceleration on MacOs satisfies my needs. Im still worried since you guys are telling me that its not as good.
  8. From what i've seen it performs a bit better than it and i just looked at the facebook marketplace in my country and found it for 500 bucks brand new.
  9. The 6800 is a beast card but i did a little research and saw that the RX 5700 XT is even a bit better that the 1080TI and it also gives me that sweet drivers that i need.
  10. Hello , so i currently own a GTX1080TI ROG STRIX version which i had bought not a long time ago. I heavily game on it but i came across something called Opencore which is basically an alternative for Clover (used for making dualboot hackintosh) . It was a pain in the ass installing Mac Os Catalina and when i came to the realization that Nvidia dropped out support for their drivers in High Sierrra i went insane. I've been stuck with High Sierra since then . I would really like to upgrade my Mac Os version without losing any Hardware Acceleration. Until now the only solution is going with AMD on the GPU side of things. I would really like to know which is currently the equivalent performer of a 1080TI on the AMD side (ignoring the VEGA 64).
  11. Lmao , im a good student with lots of participation points but i would be fun or an advantage if i could have a function that could help me evade questions.
  12. Is there any way of making my zoom call lag without the need of NetLimiter?
  13. Thats a pretty good build. But i would change the X470 for a B550 since you can have a bigger upgrade path (CPU) by doing so.
  14. Thats more of a motherboard thing. Try resetting your BIOS settings or clearing the CMOS and see if it helps.
  15. What i meant for future proof was the fact of having a good and capable cpu for whenever he wants to upgrade the GPU since a 1660 is not a monster gpu but i can still do the job.
  16. I think that the 9700 is going to be good for your neccesities since you are going to edit videos. The clocks are higher as well. I also recommend that your upgrade your GPU in the future since you can benefit from the NVENC encoder on a better card. You can also buy more storage in the future. This is the benefit of building or buying pc , the upgradability is awesome. And it is also better for future proof getting the 9700.
  17. From what i know , open world games are much CPU dependant. Im not saying that you should change something or that something is damaged but from what i can see you have tried many things that should fix this issue. Although you can try more things such as seeing which applications are running while you are playing and what is consuming CPU, GPU , etc. If not this is more of a hardware thing now. Have you seen the temperatures while playing? You can also try disabling dumb windows features such as Xbox game bar and any type of recording features. - Try updating your BIOS - Download latest chipset drivers available for your CPU in your motherboards website. - Enable Ultimate Performance power plan - Try resetting your BIOS. - Try changing your RAM mhz in the BIOS. You can try playing on the stock RAM settings (2133mhz)? and see if it fixes something. There is still many things that you can try.
  18. You can also try deactivating "Windows' Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling " and try to see if it makes any difference.
  19. From what i can see the HDD came from the old computer which was also giving you those problems. Why wont you try to install those games on the SSD and see if it happens? For me it seems that the problem comes from the HDD.
  20. There could be a lot of factors which could be causing this but im going to give you a few options that might help. - Try reseating your ram. Get them out and them put them back again with force until you hear the click - Remove the CMOS battery for 5-10 minutes. Although the parts are new this could worth try since it's function is to "reset" the BIOS. - Check if everything is connected correctly. This can happen a few times which is not a big deal. You should specially check the cables that comes from the PSU. Try to "reseat" them. - Try another video output. I suppose that your CPU has an integrated gpu in it. Try to use that one by connecting your monitor directly to the motherboard. Then you can determine what's not working correctly. Remember that you're supposed to connect your monitor to the GPU. Also...try to be patient. Sometimes the system can take a while since it is the first time.
  21. Hello , I've looking for a good AMP that can drive mostly any headphones in a budget. Im no audio expert but i would like to experience again how good "impedance" audio sound like. Im currently debating on the EPOS | Senheiser GSX 300 and the Creative Sound BlasterX G5. From what I can see they're both also for gaming which is one thing that i take in consideration too. They are both around the 80-90 dollar price range. Would like to hear some suggestions. 22. Hello , so i currently own an iPhone 8 Plus which has lasted me a pretty long time and it is now time to change. I am currently debating on the iPhone 12 (non Pro) and the 11 Pro Max. I am more interested in the iPhone 12 since i would be getting more years of support instead of the 11 Pro (its a theory). But i can see that the 11 Pro Max has somewhat more advantages that the 12 since i would be getting a bigger screen and more battery. The 5G support for me is kind of obsolete since my country is not going to implement this any time soon , although it would be a nice feature to have.
