  1. Last update. I’ve realised I made a mistake assuming I couldn’t get into bios. I was being dumb. It looks like the mobo refuses to boot to any drive with windows installed. With that in mind, it looks like my only option is to take the mobo back to the store and hopefully get an exchange. Hopefully the Australian consumer protection laws pull through with a new mobo.
  2. With antennas on and the m.2 drive out of the pc, the pc will boot to bios. Putting the m.2 back in makes the computer hang on the motherboard splash screen.
  3. Posting a follow up. If I leave the antennas in and boot without the m.2 it’ll boot to bios.
  4. Motherboard Splash Screen. No boot. Hey guys! I’ve got myself a new PC build today. I’ve run into an issue of my PC not booting, only displaying the motherboard splash screen. Now this wasn’t originally the case. The first power up I was able to boot the PC, install Windows and run windows. It was only after I connected the motherboards wireless antennas did this problem begin. From then on I scoured the internet to troubleshoot. What I did was the following. 1. Test my ram individually. 2. Reset the graphics card. 3. Disconnect my mechanical hard drive. 4. Take out the CMOS battery. 5. General poking around the case. All of these didn’t work. However, when I reseated the m.2 drive the computer booted to bois, and furthermore allowed me to boot into windows. A sigh of relief, I even restarted the PC a few times for good measure. All was well, but I’d figured I’d try to plug in the antennas again. Reboot and back to mother board splash screen. Unplugging the antenna did not fix the issue. I couldn’t begin to describe my frustration. Reseating the m.2 drive prompted the windows setup (had a windows USB plugged in), but that’s as far as I’ve gone. Seems like I can reproduce the method to get computer to play nice, but otherwise it’s a riot. Any ideas beyond going to the PC shop and having a chat?
