So I accidentally printed a naked photo of myself. It was sent from my personal laptop to a Canon Pixma G3020. I took it out and destroyed it. No one can access to my laptop but everyone has access to the printer.

I recently learned that many modern printers may have built- in memory, will someone be able to recover it?

Randel1980 got a reaction from Slayerking92 in Can you get hacked if you reveal your computer name to someone else?
So I bought a cheap ESET license from ebay, which the seller claimed that all license keys are authorized from ESET company.
The seller asked me to screenshot my computer name. With the following format  "DESKTOP-XXXXXX"

hi, i like to thank you for your trust and shop

i need you to provide your pc name id screenshot so we can add you as a key user so wont face any problem

waiting for your reply. ( the order will be cancelled automatically after 24 h if you didn't respond )

    thank you for your understanding

I'm unsure if I should give him my computer name. Is there a risk when revealing your computer name to someone else?

Randel1980 got a reaction from Slayerking92 in Is Iphone 6 the cheapest solution for a dedicated 2FA device?
Hi, just opened my crypto trading account and want to protect my account with 2FA. Since there is a lot of money on my account, I want to invest in a dedicated 2FA device to secure my account.

I do have samsung galaxy which is an android device, yes I can use my S8 for google authenticator or authy. But many people recommend to not use android because it can be infected with viruses and trojans.

So I'm thinking about IOS since it can't be infected, and a mobile seller told me that Iphone 6 might the best option because it only costs 100$ and is up to date (IOS 14)

Please let me know if there is a cheaper way to secure my account. Thanks.

Randel1980 reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Is it possible to delete 500,000 files in a folder at once without manually deleting?
Wrote a quick powershell script to do this.

It will remove anything in Folder A that does not match in Folder B. It will not remove anything from folder B. Obviously, replace the paths with the ones you require.

    $FolderA = Get-childitem "D:\test\Folder1" $FolderB = Get-childitem "D:\test\Folder2" $FilestoRemove = Compare-Object $FolderA $FolderB -Property BaseName -PassThru | Where-Object {$_.SideIndicator -eq '<='} foreach ($file in $FilestoRemove) { Remove-Item -Path $file.FullName } I'd advise testing this first on some test folders to make sure it does what you want it to. Make a backup before using it if you can.

Disclaimer here: I won't be held responsible if you use the script incorrectly or it otherwise removes files not as you intended.

I think this is what you're looking for: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43967926/compare-folder-contents-with-another-folder-and-delete
Since you want to delete the 'differences' between these two.

Be sure to first make a backup of the folders, in case anything goes wrong

Randel1980 got a reaction from JabroniBaloney in Is STEAM app safe?
So i'm pretty new to STEAM game launcher. I want to play a lot of game but I dont want to spend a lot of money, so I rent a shared steam account that costs 10$ a month with hundred of games that I can play as much as I want, except for online mode. When I logged in I had to enter security code that he gave it to me.
When I logged into his account I see some remote desktop stuff and a lot of computer names, family view, asking for pin to unlock family view mode and a lot of weird stuff.

I just wasn't sure how this app worked, for some reason i thought there might be a way for people to gain access to my computer, but I might be too paranoid.
