  1. It's hard to take criticism. Especially when the people giving it don't know the entire picture. While quite a few of the criticisms being leveraged were valid. There were also a lot of ridiculous accusations being thrown. Which has a tendency to put people on the defensive. It's important to acknowledge that while most of us do come from a place of concern and do generally hope that they succeed. We are essentially questioning the character of not only Linus, but his life's work. His defensiveness is understandable, but just because it's understandable. doesn't' make it ok. Coming away from situations like these with nothing but continued constant criticism; despite them taking these criticisms to heart. Doesn't leave much motivation for them to listen in the future. So just remember to have some empathy.
  2. I'm new to the forum, but am actually long time viewer. And I apologize. I am going to be a bit blunt here. When I say sacrificing accuracy, I don't mean that there is active intent to provide incorrect data, but that the continued push to keep to this release schedule. On top of the expansion and CEO transition is causing a distinct degradation of the service you provide. There were even issues configuring your bench tests so outliers wouldn't show up in test results. Which is a rookie mistake to make. You've been doing this for years. You're well past the point where that is acceptable. Not to mention it sure doesn't bode well for any future testing once the lab is done. What good is new machinery that's not configured right? As far as we can tell there's been no real attempt to correct these issues. Just spin the Billet issue in another direction. Which also doesn't appear to be on the level. GN confirmed the timeline of events. There wasn't any communication with you until after his video went live. You'd also be better served addressing his points in their entirety. You didn't even touch the conflicts of interest. For lack of a better way to put it. You need to get your shit together. We want to see you succeed and hope you'll do what's needed.
  3. I appreciate you taking ownership of some of your mistakes, but you failed to address the primary concern of GN's video. Which was you're sacrificing accuracy for volume. I watch because I trust LMG to do their due diligence BEFORE posting, and make quick corrections when they discover errors. However, if the frequency and scope of errors becomes too much; then I as the consumer have no reason to stay. Quite a few of the mistakes he mentioned were just blatant negligence. Expansion is exciting. The end goal is amazing, but it's all pointless if the people you're building all of this for can't trust your content. slow down. We can go a day or two without a video if it means what we are watching remains accurate. I also BEG you to dedicate a good chunk of the WAN Show to this. Because the defensiveness of your response to this has left me completely unconvinced that we'll be seeing any meaningful change.
  4. It's happened while gaming as well as just checking email. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. I asked him to get core temp installed for temps, but he hasn't gotten to it yet. he'll get it installed tonight and i can get back to you on it, but he says it wasn't running too hard. There's no overclock. He's running a stock cooler so until he upgrades it I instructed him to hold off on that.
  5. I built a computer for my brother (parts list down below.) And it keeps rebooting unexpectedly. I've checked the event viewer and apart from an error saying that it had restarted unexpectedly there's no sign it had issues or anything pointing to what caused it. I'm not sure what to do from here. It was just built almost a month ago and has been having issues almost every day. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7VFwNq
  6. Hey, I'm working on a user's laptop. Windows 10 with a wireless keyboard mouse combo. The mouse randomly stops working until he enters ctrl all del. He's replaced the battery, I've Uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse drivers, replaced the mouse/keyboard, had him try using a different port and the problem continues. I'm not sure what else to try, I don't recall seeing any updates needed. I'm not seeing any kind of resolutions online. Hoping someone can help. I'd really prefer not having to reinstall windows.
  7. So even though pc parts picker said estimated wattage was like 384W. The top for the graphics card was 225W with a minimum psu of 600 and recommended 750W?
  8. Hi, so here's the problem I'm having. I'm building a pc for a friend as he wants to get into pc gaming. However, I've gotten to the point where I need to install the OS and have hooked it up to my monitors and the graphics card isn't connecting. It's an MSI Mech OC (Radeon rx 5700 xt) the screen goes between a black screen and a blue screen that says no signal. I've never dealt with overclocked anything before. So the system specs are listed below: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wP2GzN CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Storage: Western Digital Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Video Card: MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB MECH OC Video Card Case: Cougar MX330 ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair CXM V2 (2017) 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply I've put this graphics card into my computer for testing and it had the same problem there. I also took the graphics card out of my own computer and tested it in the new system and that worked. So I'm pretty sure the problem is related to the new graphics card, but I'm not sure if its a DOA or if it has something to do with the overclocking. Like I said before. I haven't changed any power settings in bios or anything. Please help. I've had a lot of issues getting everything put together for this guy and I'm just at my wits end.
