What system are they currently using (most importantly, what version of Windows?

Also, if your parents' bank requires Internet Explorer to access their online services, it's time for them to switch banks.

I'd say $750 CAD is a good price. It's what I payed for my first build.

If it's too thick, it will get fat-shamed by billions of transistors with for example 7 nm gate length, can't have that.

I think Apple doesn't opt for bigger batteries, because it can get away with the current ones, saving cost. On top of that, it can advertise shorter charging times (for the same charging current of course).

Imagine comparing the most popular brand to every single one of it's competitors combined.

    No that would be insane.
    I can't hold a phone that's thicker than 0.000000000000000000001mm.

Please do a rant about how both AMD and Intel skipped over 4, 6, and 8 in their processor naming (i.e Core i3, i5, i7, i9, Ryzen 3, 5, 7, 9) and why it's just a dumb naming scheme.

Acer’s Aspire One from nine years ago has the option to change out the drive, so I’d guess the Aspire 7 would have the same feature.

That’s strange. I’ve never used a Surface Book, and know almost nothing about them, but it’s probably a software issue.
