Temps have been stable the whole time... OC to 5 on the CPU and the card does not need it.

Hey all... I am seeing what looks as a white powder in the base of my res... Using distilled water and algicide only. Have a liquid devil card and a aquacomputer kryos cpu block with a XSPC rad. New buildiish (This year). Thoughts? Going to upgrade the CPU this fall, I have a feeling my metals are fighting each other.

Maintenance is key! Air cooler or water cooler, same principal. If it is dirty it sucks.

I think I'm on my own for the speed increase with my software package... maybe keep my old one for gaming and go the AMD route for productivity and crushing numbers.

It's a Z390 board (MSI MPG Gamer Edge AC) I use Microstation, ArcGIS, Idrisi, AutoCAD 2019, Old (New ;)) Atlas 32 mapping software along with Lidar and Trimble Surveying Software.

Looks like I picked a sketchy time to get back into building PC's. My limit is on my socket right now (1151). I game, but also use for photogrammetry, bridge load calcs where higher threading would be game changer. I have an I5 OC'd to the hill, but will the I9 be an increase enough? My rendering times are not bad, but productivity could increase with an appreciable speed increase... This is why I hate and love computers!

The PSU is fine... I would be worried about the "secondhand platform"... Flash it back to factory and start from there... And don't use Furmark or Kombustor...

What is your "Heavy Programming"? Are you coding or is it AutoCAD / Microstation or custom company software? Do you need to do any BIM Modeling, GIS work, Load Calculations?

The case is close to my Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG. I love my case! Looks like a solid build.
