Hi so wierd development , as i was about to buy the RTX 3060 laptop a new laptop appeared, also the Asus Tuf a15 Ryzen 7 6800H, 16Gb 1-Stick ddr 5 4800MT, with a RTX 3070 140W for the same price as the 3060. So i went wil that only down side is that the IPS Display only covers 67% SRGB , but I have no idea how bad that will look but already have a samsung monitor supporting 8,10 and 12 Bit color with insane accuracy (Accourding to listing). But now it has 16 GB ram so-dimm but as i understand ddr 5 memory is automatically Dual Channel. If im wrong can someone please correct me if im wrong cause i know that laptops get a massive performance boost if memory is in dual channel.

Thx for ur reply so I checked but the only ones that will deliver 2 me has either a RTX 3050 or 3070 ti and they both are more expensive than the 3060, Mahn South african prices are radicicolous

I also forgot to add that the Tuff has a Mux switch where as the Omen dont.

Hi people im in a conundrum here, first off I have a beasty desktop, but I travel alot and would like to do some dev work on the go, in unreal 5 specifically. I was looking into buying a RTX 3060 laptop since when it comes to laptops it seems like the best bang for buck. So on the one hand there is the HP Omen 16 , with a core i5 11400H 16Gb 3200MT (I think) with a rtx 3060 100W GPU, and on the other there is the Asus tuff A17 with the bit larger display at 17" compared to the omens 16", you get a ryzen 7 6800H with 8Gb DDR 5 at 4800MT with a rtx 3060 140W. But I dont like that the laptop screams GAMER, also i live in south africa and stuff here is super exspensive so i can add an exstra 8Gb stick in the Tuff that brings the price to R26 500 that is 1526 USD and the Hp Omen is 1340 USD, What to do, also I have my own ssds. Hi my pc have been working fine for a year and I have never had any issues but a month / 2 months ago my pc started crashing when ever I try to play a game. My pc wont crash if I am working or just watching a movie only when I play a game, the crash happens about a hour in , first its like the pc freezes I can hear distorted audio and then I lose HDMI signal the pc doest shut down it stays on but with no output, first I thought it might be my CPU overheating but max temp on cpu is 64'c and gpu is is around 69'c in exstreme cases. I have a ryzen 7 3700x, Rtx 3080, 4 x 8Gb Gskill Trident z Neo, Nzxt Kraken AIO and a Msi gaming pro max mobo. Please send suggestions im at the point where im going to buy a new mobo.

Didnt think it was necessary since the company "tested" the mobo with my exact components and said it worked...

Hi everyone, recently bought a new system. Asrock x570 steel legends R 7 3700x 4sticks of 8Gb ddr trident z neo Rtx 3080 1200W psu with a gen 3 ssd Turned on the pc and get the post led of cpu, dram together then it goes to boot and vga and cycles with that. I send the mobo back and they said nothing was wrong and send it back to me, now im sitting with the same f in problem. I know all my components are good since i tested them on my x470 mobo. Please help me. Thank you.

But can I use the AIO as exhaust? Wont that heat up my cpu? I bought the case like this

I was just wondering if the fans is setup correctly in this build. Obviously the rear fan is exhaust fan. The 3 in front is intake aswell as the CPU AIO, but the 2 side fans is also axhaust fans? Is it suposed to be like this?

(rev 2) my main gaming monitor using HDMI 144hz 1080p. my secondary monitor also uses HDMI but the gtx 1070 only have 1 HDMI port so I connected the display via DP to HDMI cable, also a 1080p display 60hz, the screen worked like this for almost 6monthes now but suddenly the display is reporting no signal. I checked to see if it was the display but no problem, connected the display via the HDMI cable and it worked, I turned off the display unplugged all the cabled and left for 20 hours, even hit the reset on the display itself. I checked to see if there was a GPU update that caused my problem but nothing was installed yesterday. I have an idea that it is my 1070 Display port that is causing me this problem. I am an IT Tech but I don't understand what is going on or how to fix this problem. Please help.

And why is my card running hotter than other Gtx 1070's, meaning what causes this problem? because I have been running games for 2 years now with v-sync on and the gpu utilization was about 41% with low temps? or was the temps always this high I just didnt notice because of v-sync?

thank you for the reply, the gpu usage is at 100% while fan speed is also at 100%. The room temp is def not 30'c its more like 23 maby. Thank you once again, I realy like this card but the fan noice and the heat is concerning. I will reaply thermal paste but I cant find thermal pads here in my hometown, can i reaply the old thermal pads? I just wonder if I open the card and the thermal pads is destroyed or ripped can I just try to reposition them to fit again or is that a big no no?
