Yeah, I would go with that. It's more than plenty for your setup and should be very quite at your load range as well.

Looks to be an CWT GPM unit with an updated DC-DC secondary. It would be fine for your system. If you haven't bought it already, providing a budget and e-tailers you can buy from can help others see if that's the best option you can get.

It's a decent budget unit, and should be more than fine with just a 1660 Super. Just ignore the manufacturer's wattage recommendation. The 1660 Super is a 120W card iirc, so expect the entire system to draw about 200W from the PSU under a gaming load. Even if you're overclocking, you're more than fine.
Ignore any talk about hEaDrOoM, especially with low-mid range PSUs, as that money would be spent better elsewhere (either on other PC components, or on a higher end instead of higher wattage PSU). Also ignore the 80+ rating, as it says nothing about how good a PSU is, and especially ignore the brand, as all brands are equally capable of selling crap.

It's perfectly fine but I usually like going 50-100 watts over the recommended minimum, especially if i'm overclocking. And if you're passing it down to your sister you might want some head room so maybe a 600 watt unit with an 80+ Bronze rating from any of the reputable manufacturers

Yep, wattage wise it's more than enough.
    what 500w unit though?

If your goal is best possible temps, a perforated, ventilated or mesh front panel is your best solution.

It depends on what type of heat your system is outputting. If you're running a 9900k/10900k and an RTX 2080ti, it's going to be an over. But if you're rocking an R5 3600 (no OC) with a 1660ti/5600 or 5700, then you'll likely find the temps manageable and within reason (70's to low 80-s).

Cases with two side vents like the Define C, Corsair 465x and the Lian Li 205 will obviously do better than cases with only 1 side vent like the H510, Nexus M, etc.

Also pay attention to fan placement. Sharktoon has two very similar cases (TG4 and TG5) but the TG4 fans are positioned too far forward to properly utilize the side ventilation, so the fans would need to be moved onto the other side of the rails to get better airflow. A lot of companies do this to show off their RGB better at the cost of airflow, but dont tell the average consumer because the average consumer (not a member of the LTT forusm usually) doesnt consider airflow as a high priority when building their first PC

The P300 actually has a front mesh variant in the P300A Airflow. The cases you mentioned are pretty bad for thermals. Side intakes on older cases work pretty well actually. Meshify C (needs exta fans) or P400A are good options aswell.

Can confirm the H510 is a toaster. I have it and taking off the side panel massively reduces temps.

It's more about what you do most or what you're most interested in having the best performance for. You can do both things with both configurations, it's just about what you want to prioritize. Less time over rendering or better FPS? Pretty much that.

It sounds like one of those lesser known GPU manufacturers, usually its like  european or asian brand or something, this one I gues from the phillipines.
Just try to find some reviews or someone who owns something from that brand, and if you do then it's probably a legit brand, just small and less known.
A lot of small brands only sell cards in certain regions of the world and don't export to other continents.

I am! Should be fairly obvious since googling this card returns links from Lazada and Shopee, which are amazon-like Philippines services.

Yeah, I'm definitely with you. Can't find ANY website or ANY other cards that they might also make. Really sketch.

Oh wow! Thanks for the resource! I'm seeing lots of sketchy brands in the Philippine market and this definitely helps in filtering the good from bad. Thanks!

If you pay attention to context it would become apparent that Jon is talking about lower wattage, indeed group reg versions of CV.
Uh, i forgot about that, we even have a components breakdown there and no, it doesn't have 'very cheap and low-end Chinese capacitors'. It's a definitely not high-end PSU either, but for OP's needs it's more than enough and they already have it, no need to replace unless they plan to upgrade to much higher-end system.

In that case seems like a good deal. You'll have the peace-of-mind buying used because it's your friend. And for 1080p the RTX 2080 TI is just wasted money.

There's no reason to go to a 2080ti if you're gonna game on 1080p. 1080ti is plenty enough, even if you play at 144hz refresh rate.

You're overreacting, PSUs like these are bad only if you push the PSU to the absolute limit. OP's setup only consumes about half of what the PSU is capable of, even if it's overclocked.

What protections is the CV650 missing that will prevent you from overclocking?
Can you provide a link to a review that tests voltage regulation in a crossload scenario for the CV650?
What brand capacitors does it use?

Just because of better PSU ? Bold claim.
The only protection it probably lacks is OTP, which doesn't affect power delivery, i just can't find spec sheet for it, perhaps @jonnyGURU could say if it does or does not have OTP.
Again, this is DC-DC PSU, there wouldn't be any problems with crossloads. There may be subpar transient response but not with this config.
Again, bold claim, you didn't see it's internals as there are no reviews, but perhaps Jon could shed some light here too.

If you ask me, nobody needs 200$ Platinum rated PSUs in the first place. 100$ Gold units are more than enough if you don't have a multi-GPU setup. And this specific config doesn't overclock well anyway, there would be barely any difference in the power consumption.
