  1. Hello, Thank you in advance. I'm looking to buy a pair of RS 185's but sadly my motherboard (B450 Tomahawk Max) doesn't come with an optical port to support the 185's receiver. Because of this I've been looking into USB DAC's but was wondering if I need to find one with an optical out or if when using one I can just use RCA without a drop in performance. Setup would be: Headphone Receiver -> DAC -> PC Headphone to DAC would be either by Optical or RCA, and DAC to PC would be USB Thanks again - Gilbertomus
  2. Many thanks, I'll probably just look around for a good one with an optical out then! Thank you!
  3. You don't think that it would throttle audio in any form? I assume not? And I might be looking in the wrong places but most paces I can find the omni for cheaper, however that might just be due to the Corona. Thank you for your swift reply
  4. Hello everyone, hopefully someone can help me. It's time to upgrade my headphones and I've really warmed to the idea of Wireless. I've been looking at the Sennheiser RS 185 or the RS 195 I've read it comes with a receiver as sorts you generally wouldn't need a DAC/AMP as long as you connect it to your PC with optical cable, however unfortunately my PC doesn't have an optical port. So here's my question, would something like the Sound Blaster Omni work as a middleman, so headphone receiver plugged into the Omni via Optical and then that plugged into my desktop via USB? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! As a little side note my motherboard is a B450 Tomahawk Max and I'll mainly be using my PC for gaming and music. Thank you in advance!
