  1. Temps are fine -- haven't seen anything higher than the mid 60s.
  2. It's been about eight months since I built my PC: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x ROG Strix B450-F Gaming 16 GB DDR4 3200 MSI Geforce RTX 2070 Armor 2TB Samsung NVME M.2 SSD Corsair CX Series 650 Watt 80 Plus My understanding is that this card should handle most games at 1440p 60fps, so 1080p 60 fps shouldn't be a problem -- especially older games like GTA V. However, that hasn't been my experience. Since the start, I've had pretty bad FPS performance on new games in 1080p -- it struggles to go above 60FPS in most games, and even when it is regularly above 60 it has major dips. I've spent most of my time playing older games, so it hasn't been an issue, but I had horrible FPS problems recently with Half-Life Alyx. I downloaded GTA V as part of Epic's giveaway and have been pretty surprised by how bad the performance is for me, dropping into the 30s when driving in certain areas (easy to replicate across different play sessions), and I am experiencing similar problems with Fallout 76 (dropping into the 40s). Online benchmarks show that the GTA V FPS on a 2070 should be around 163 in 1080p, but I'm hovering around 55 - 60 on average. Neither lowering settings or overclocking seems to have much of an impact. I've done several clean driver re-installs to no avail. Since I've been working from home, I've found my PC performs very well in Photoshop, Premiere, and other productivity apps. The problems really do seem to be limited to gaming. One thing I haven't tried is a clean reinstall of Windows. I'd really rather not go through that given the large number of work files on my PC. Any suggestions on what I should try next? Should I RMA the card, or buy a replacement (which seems ill-advised given current supply chain problems)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, -Jeff
