  1. I sent it to their RMA center in Sacramento, CA. I live in Los Angeles so it was fast.
  2. This is all that shows up when I look up my RMA number
  3. I made a post a few weeks ago asking for help because my PC was having lots of display issues such as screen glitching, audio choppiness, random restarting and general system lag even when nothing was happening. In my initial post I came to the conclusion that it was the GPU that was the issue because when I would put in my 3070 ti with clean drivers the system would run no problem. I even tested the system with the 3070 ti in Heaven 4.0 everything ran perfectly smoothly and temps were 80°c max. So after all that I sent my 4070 to MSI for repair. They "repaired" it and sent it back. I put it in my system again and I am having the exact same issues as before. I have no idea what could be causing this. In the few hours that I have put the 4070 back in the computer it's restarted on its own twice while only a browser and a YouTube video is playing. What could be causing this? What would cause a computer to run perfectly fine with one GPU but not the other?
  4. It was the GPU unfortunately. I put in my 3070 Ti and installed the drivers and have had zero issues since. I will have to RMA the 4070
  5. Slight improvement after chkdsk and restart. I'm getting less overall lag and audio chopping while just letting a YouTube video play. CPU seems stable now and isn't really spiking at all while a YouTube video plays. However GPU is still getting weird spikes now it looks like this. Also my disk is NTFS. When clicking format during the windows install I assumed it would format to GPT. Could this be the problem should I convert it to GPT? Scratch that it was stable for only a little bit. Updated Nvidia studio drivers and restarted problems came back.
  6. Yup perfectly fine as far as I can tell a bit high on the GPU at 50c-ish when idle Though that's due to not having the exhaust fans I want to install yet. And CPU between 30-40c.
  7. What other drivers would need an update. I did the Nvidia Drivers first. Also just crashed and restarted again as I closed my browser lol.
  8. So I just completed my new build today and once I was done getting the whole thing together it immediately gave me problems when I tried to boot for the first time. Right out the gate the BIOS did not recognize either m.2 SSD I had installed. I previously formatted and installed windows on one. So I reluctantly plugged in my USB and installed windows on the same drive a second time. Finally it booted and I was in windows. Now the problem is EVERYTHING is lagging. Like black ops 2 lag switch lagging. Trying to drag my cursor is slow when it lags, the audio bugs and lags as well. And when trying to watch videos the screen tears. At idle for the first 20-30 minutes nothing was open except task manager. CPU maxed out usage for about 10 seconds and was at 5ghz then stopped. GPU did something similar spiked to max usage fans sped up to max lasted about 10 seconds then stopped. It also restarted by itself one time. Trying to watch a YouTube video constantly causes these issues. Less so when nothing is open. Letting a video play causes constant spikes and drops on the GPU. Parts list: CPU - Ryzen 5 7600 CPU cooler - Thermalright axp90x47 Motherboard - Gigabyte b650i aorus ultra GPU - RTX 4070 Ventus 3X PSU - Corsair SF750 Storage - An older crucial P2 drive and a crucial p3 drive RAM - Team group T Create Expert 32 gb Any ideas where to start trouble shooting? I don't know what the most likely culprit could be. I am hoping it's just an accidental double windows thing and I just need a fresh install again. Doubt that is the case though. Well unfortunately/fortunately it looks like the problem was with the GPU.
  9. I have some 120mm Noctua fans that are just collecting dust and wanted to do it for fun. Better temps is a plus though.
  10. The microcenter near me has lots of 3060s in stock at MSRP and was wondering if you guys could tell me which ones are the easiest to deshroud since that's what I plan on doing when I get one.
  11. This is what I initially thought since all 4 games that crash on me are made in Unity. However after testing Heaven 4.0 that also crashes so i figured it is not isolated to just Unity games.
  12. Hey all I have been having an issue with some games where my GPU usage drop to zero then spike to 100% usage then my game will stutter then my games crash to desktop. What's odd is that it isn't all games. I can play CS:GO, Risk Of Rain 2, Bloons TD6, Loop Hero and Terraria. The 4 games that have been giving me this trouble are Solasta Crown Of The Magister, Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous, Stolen Realms, and Book Of Travels. I should also mention that I can't get through Heaven 4.0 either. It will start for a few seconds stutter then either black screen and not respond or just outright crash to desktop. I have tried rolling back Nvidia drivers, I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers after using DDU. I changed my RAM speed back to stock didn't help, So i'm not sure what else it could be. I've installed Malwarebytes and scanned my computer I am clean of any crypto miners or malware of any kind. I would rather not fresh install windows but i suppose that is still an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The picture i provided is what it looks like in task manager when the usage spikes then the game crashes. I do have HWinfo but I don't even know what to look for since there is voltages, clock speeds. fan speeds etc. Not really sure exactly what to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance Build RTX 2060 Super FE AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro Wifi Adata SSD EVGA SuperNOVA 550 GM PSU 16 GB XPG Z1 DDR4 RAM
  13. IMO it is more worth buying a dedicated pair of headphones and a dedicated microphone. For the same price of 100 USD like the Corsair HS70 costs you could get MUCH better quality in terms of audio and probably in terms of build as well since you stated that they have broken on you twice now. It really depends on what you like as well. Do you like headphones with a lot of bass? or sound to be as clear as possible? Do you live in a place where noise is an issue and you want to isolate yourself? or do you live alone where noise leaking is not an issue? Also wireless is just going to cost you extra and something i wouldn't recommend if you are on a budget. Wires can be a hassle sure but that also means they can be easily replaced which means longer use for your headphones. Now audio is a tricky subject because it really depends what you want. If you want purely bang for your buck i can easily recommend Koss Porta Pro. They are insane value and on sale at the time of writing this. If those are too ugly or uncomfortable looking to you I would recommend the AKG K240 Studio headphones. Without getting too technical they provide great Imaging and soundstage for gaming. Although they lack a bit of bass since they are used for studio use. They also support a replaceable cable which is great for long the long term. you also stated you work with music often these are also great for that. Do bear in mind that these are a bit hard to drive("drive" means the amount of juice they need to put out good volume) and you might need an Dac/Amp if you want to get the proper volume out of the headphones. In terms of Microphone it also depends how you would want that set up. The simplest thing here is a USB plug and play microphone. I personally use the Marantz Pro Complete Podcast KIt for only 40 dollars on amazon and it has been an amazing value for me. If you want something cheaper with a desk mount you could go with the Fifine Metal Condenser Mic If none of that tickles your fancy and you still want to go with a headset with good sound quality and a decent microphone check out the HyperX Cloud II I bought these over 3 years ago and they still work good, the microphone is detachable and has a USB adapter for computers OR just use the 3.5mm jack it comes with.
  14. Hi everyone. I seem to be having a really odd problem and was looking for more insight into the subject. Recently I've downloaded 4 games and anytime I launch them I am getting screen freezing and subsequent crashing. The games are Solasta: Crown Of The Magister, Stolen Realms, Book of Travels, and Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous. As I said before they all crash before i can even begin playing the game. What I came to realize is that they are all games made with Unity. The only reason i believe this is significant is because when i play any of my other games such as Risk Of Rain 2, Counter Strike, Bloons, Loop Hero, or Terraria my GPU is perfectly fine and stable no crashing happens whatsoever. Also the reason i suspect it is a GPU issue is because of what i see in task manager under GPU performance. Anytime I would try to select something i would get a spike as you see in the screenshot I provided. It spikes from 0% then to 100% instantly then back to 0%. These spikes only seem to be happening with Unity games as all the games I am experiencing crashing are made with Unity. So far i have just completely uninstalled and reinstalled my Nvidia drivers using DDU however that did not help. Upon starting Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous my screen will freeze and I see another spike. So currently I am at a loss as to what the problem could be. It clearly looks to be a GPU issue but maybe there is something I'm missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
