No, it doesn't bottleneck a 2080 Super. Unoptimized games won't utilize your GPU fully no matter what you do. Try running an actual AAA title and then report back.

It's working as intended. Those spikes are there for when it quickly needs to process something like opening a window which is what it's supposed to do. I would also remove that auto oc as the zotac firestorm software gives a bunch of issues for a lot of people.

Any particular reason you went with an i7?  There are better options, and there is no upgrade path here for you this is End of Line for that motherboard (you may get an i9-9900k for it, but by the time you want to upgrade that will be well out of date.

This thread will be moved soon to the right place in the forum, but if I get in before that - why not go AMD, if you are doing creative work, the extra cores will be of great benefit.

The RAM, what speed is it? What are the timing on the RAM? 16gb of 2133 RAM with 20 22 22 22 58 timings is going to be a LOT worse than say 3200 RAM with 16 18 18 18 28 timings (these are examples not saying these RAM combinations exist - who can be bothered to look it up).

Your PSU is probably too powerful for what you have, why not go 750w and save a few pennies.

I have never heard of Inland SSDs, so can't comment, but I would want to look at the stats before I committed to buying a brand I had never heard of before.

You're on a PC Building Forum, so it's my moral responsibility to recommend you build a PC as it's actually quite easy, cheaper, and more fun. If you do insist on getting a prebuilt, you can go ahead and link us a build you're considering and we can help you determine if it's good or not.

redbrickwhale reacted to Falcon1986 in Ethernet Upload speed around 1Mbps when 20Mbps on other devices
Are you sure this newly-built PC isn't doing anything in the background with regards to the internet? Microsoft is pushing major updates between last month and this month. Also, your Windows PC has the ability to upload updates to nearby PCs that need updates in a sort of distributed file-sharing setup. If you don't turn this off, other nearby Windows PCs might be downloading within your LAN.

And can you make sure that no other device on the network isn't uploading data at the same time that you're running this test?

Are you 100% sure that the PC is getting 20mbps in the first place? Do you have a laptop to test with? If not, I can still help you figure out what the issue is.
