  1. Hey man, I bought this laptop, dell g5 15 se and I am happy with it but no so much. whenever i game on it, and exit and check the temps they are at 100c. no matter what. playing even less demanding games like CS:GO the temps are at 100c. even just doing normal stuff like browsing take the temps at 80+c. and I read this thread and saw that you solved this problem. please tell me in detail what you did to fix this. I have the same configuration as you mentioned, R5 4600H, 5600M, 8GB and 512 SSD. please help me man.

  2. no i haven't changed anything, this only started happening yesterday and I didn't change anything related to the game as far as i'm aware no gpu update or third party app update or anything like that
  3. i did reinstall and nothing has changed, textures load extremely slow for some reason
  4. WD2 is running fine. GTA IV is running fine. I did a diagnostic test to see and everything was good I'll try reinstalling if nothing else works. Do corrupt textures really make the game this unplayable? To the point where your framerate becomes comparatively low?
  5. just realised that GTA 5 is being extremely slow at loading textures for some reason
  6. Maximum I've seen is 85-90c 1) I raised the laptop's back 2) I updated BIOS and GPU drivers 3) I changed power plan settings Didn't cost me a single frame
  7. I tried running Heaven, and my GPU is being used about 90-100%. So this might lead me to believe it's some sort of driver bug.
  8. I had been playing GTA 5 recently. Yesterday I was getting around 60-70fps at ultra settings. But today I got only around 20-30fps. I am not able to understand the exact reason. Also my GPU is only being used 30%. I don't remember the amount prior to this troubling development but I am sure it was higher than atleast 30%. (Also same driver, no update or anything.) The laptop used here is a Dell G5 15 SE (CPU 4600H, GPU 5600M) As far as I am aware, it is not due to throttle or something like that. I will provide other necessary details upon demand. I will also try some other fixes to see if those work or not.
  9. guys i fixed it, new drivers helped reduce temps by 5-10C and then some extra tweaks (if you want to know, reply) i did to achieve these temps this was 3 hours of gaming, and the temps are very good
  10. i am contacting dell, and if they are unable to provide me a resonable solution, i will return this laptop
  11. I have contacted Dell just in case, they will be responding to me within 24 hours. i am extremely paranoid of these temperatures (especially the point where it reached 107 Celsius), i might be planning on returning it, but i might stick with it
  12. these are readings of gta v at ultra settings played for like 20 minutes and drove around Edit: also, what is the difference between cpu internal and cpu?
