  1. Hi All just an fyi for those with older gpu's like mine this was the reply from the folding@home forum itself. Currently there is no work available for your NVS 5200M, and that generation of GPUs is currently being reviewed as to whether they will remain on the supported list. The issue is related to the Fermi based GPUs from then only supporting OpenCL 1.1, the GPU folding core software currently being used was developed for OpenCL 1.2 and only tested on GPUs that supported that. These cards worked on some projects, but failed on others depending on which OpenCL commands were used. However many of the projects being done for COVID-19 do need those. The issue is worse for first generation Fermi chips (GF10n) such as the GF108 used in the NVS 5200M. Second generation Fermi GF11n chips are missing fewer items, but would also need parts of the OpenCL 1.2 commands emulated with additional code. This would require a new folding core, related development and testing, and in the end would be slower. For the time being yuoo can do CPU folding projects. Some of these older cards may be usable if a CUDA instead of OpenCL based folding core is released at some point in the future for use on nVidia GPUs. But there is currently no time frame announced on when that might happen. As for the Work Server address being 192.0.2.1, that is being done on the server level to redirect the request from the active Work Servers. It indicates there is no available work for the devices connected to that request.

  3. Hi Have a Dell Latitude e6430 laptop running a NVIDIA NVS 5200M Graphics Card, the card has the latest driver from NVIDIA. version 392.59. I have set my laptop under NVIDIA control panel/ manage 3d settings to use the "high performance NVIDIA processor" for all programs In the folding at home client I can see the slot for the gpu. However it is stuck on downloading and has been for almost a week. I tried idling it and then un-idling it and that hasn't worked. One thing that looks suspicious to me is that: 1. The work server is always 192.0.2.1 2. the collection server is always 0.0.0.0 Perhaps this is the problem? I will attach a log file and screenshots shortly
