    1) Same workgroup or Domain
    2) You can only share to local accounts unless all the computers are connected to a domain controller
    3) Password the share so only the users with the password can access it.

Might as well get an external DAC/amp unit if you have the desk space. Way better than a soundcard.

You can find USB microphones under $50 all day, I personally daily drive a CAD U37. It's a bit expensive on Amazon now, But goes on sale all the time. I picked mine up for $35, been rock solid for a few years now.

Only if you turn it off entirely.

I'd suggest buying a USB headset if you wish to bypass the onboard audio rather than an expansion card. Most Realtek audio chips are just the cheapest of the cheap, and occasionally they have issues where an OEM driver update breaks the chip, thus you end up with the wrong "ports" being mapped.

You may simply have to install the OEM software and when the box pops up "what device did you plug in" select microphone, otherwise it may default to line-in and that's why the input is too low.

Honestly I have a feeling it's your mic. Not gonna lie, but most of the time the mics on those 3.5mm headsets have potato sound quality.

Before you go throwing money at the problem, Try using another mic in the same port first, soundcards in 2020 are a hard sell.

Yes. You would plug your headset/speakers and microphone into the dedicated sound card therefore bypassing the onboard sound card entirely.
