Canadian Sandman in R.O.K.'s Achievements

  1. I agree that we need a pinned CEO response on this. Linus needs to answer this because he needs to own the things that occured while the company was directly under his hand, but I really want to hear what the new CEO plans to do to address the issues. Remaining silent without giving a statement, while Linus answers only serves to make him look like a "figurehead" CEO. Mr. Tong, with the utmost respect, please address your responsibilities, and also with the utmost respect, and thanks for the years of content I have enjoyed, please let your CEO do his job.
  2. I don't know why this makes me so angry. I hope Linus doesn't hold the community back from going after the perps in this case. I'm confident there is more than enough talent in the community to give whomever is responsible a very bad day.
  3. This just started happening for me as well probably because my Windows 10 OS finally updated. Any solution or work around for this other than killing gpu tweak?
  4. New Samsung PM1743 SSD might be worth checking out. Here's an article that just came out here in Korea on it. Looks insane, thus great for Linus vid.... Here's the new article link... https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/tech/2021/12/419_321029.html
  5. Please do a video on CMOS batteries, I am sure there are lots of people who have older machines who could probably use a video on CMOS batteries and the replacement process. It might also be a cause of problems people don't think to normally troubleshoot. I've got to change two in two old pc's I have and I searched for content on LTT but couldn't find any. I'm pretty sure I'll have no problem, but its always nice to review with a video before operating.
  6. Ladies and Gents, great work all of you. I try to watch all videos released on each channel every week. That being said, Microsoft has already started its Windows 11 push. I'm currently on Windows 10 devices that are capable of enabling TPM, but really would like to see a video outlining clear cut disadvantages to doing so. I've been coming across so much conflicting information on the Internet in my searches, that I'd really appreciate hearing the lowdown from my fellow Canadians that I trust. My biggest concern is if it will somehow encrypt my drives preventing me from swapping them to and from machines. Since I build, troubleshoot and repair all the PC's in my home(currently at 5), and am the guy that is expected to not only fix but make sure everything runs smoothly for my family, its really important that I don't bork things up regarding TPM. Hope you see this and think its video worthy, there's got to be many like me and many more that are even more confused. Thanks again and keep on doing what you're doing, don't ever quit!
  7. Just had a thought regarding the WAN Show. I really enjoy it tremendously and the relationship between Luke and Linus. However, I'd love to see perhaps once a month Linus co-host with a different member of LMG. It would be nice to see the variety it would bring and could be a cool way to also bring new staff/faces into the mix. Honestly, I thought of this when Linus was reading notes Anthony had left on different topics, so I think it could be fun to see Linus bouncing ideas off of Yvonne, Anthony, Madison, Jonathon from MAC Address, and so on. Even staffers who are interested, but maybe are not usually in front of the camera. I think once a month would be enough and still preserve the Linus/Luke dynamic that we love so much.
  8. Really would love to buy an LTT or other LMG channel toque. And please emphasize our Canadian roots buy marketing it as a "toque, not a beanie"
  9. My Galaxy S8+ Emperor Edition is still strong and kicking, but won't be getting Android 10 despite being a much more powerful phone than many newer versions that are getting it. Perhaps a show that brings to attention the fact that a lot of premium phones become throw aways after just 2 years because NOBODY is offering software support. Heck, I'd be more willing to pay a subscription fee for that even before I would consider paying for phone "insurance" which is a thing. Are there any premium phones that will provide software until the hardware will no longer support it? Additional possibility could be, what premium phones are the best bang for the buck considering how long they get O/S support from the manufacturer. Love my S8+, still feel it is relevant, but really angry at Samsung that they aren't supporting me when I paid premium prices. This will be a major factor in the next phone I buy. If a phone is going to become out of date every two years due to software issues, I will likely just invest in throw away models. No point in spending on hardware that becomes waste every 2 years. Anyhow I think there is a very valid point to this content and I am sure it affects alot of consumers. Thanks for all you do, your various productions keep me sane when life does not otherwise make sense while living abroad in a foreign culture far from home.
  10. Please do a comparison of the best current printers using continuous ink supply systems. Also, please put a focus on the illegality of some of the printer companies to use electronic/software/firmware measures to block third party ink suppliers, and any measures to work around them, and perhaps any ways we can stand against this kind of monopolistic behavior. Thanks in advance, keep up the fantastic work!
  11. I saw recently in a post so by no means an official channel that when LTT does dispose of items(that will no longer be stored for future builds) it usually attempts to sell them first (i.e. ebay) and then packs them of to ewaste if they do not sell. I would like to make a modest suggestion. Whenever I upgrade if I don't keep my working parts as back ups in case of emergency failure, I try to find a good new home for them. I have always given them to someone who couldn't pay me but could really need the benefit those parts would give. It has been my way of paying it forward for whatever negativity I may sow in the world. I see so many less fortunate people in video posts. I was just thinking, maybe a part in the LTT forums could be made into a place where members could buy/sell/give away their old gear. LTT could even post links to their ebay sales and if the items don't sell then maybe allow them to perhaps be given away before just packing everything off to ewaste? I am practically non-existent in the forums, but just thought this might be an idea that could provide a lot of benefit and tech love to all. Thanks for all who took the time to read my little post.
