  1. I hope the price will drop and then Ill buy most likely. Or get tempted by cool new GPU&CPU and safe for a year again before I can affort ^^ Or do you think Ill be able to get a better set for the same price with the new ones? I heard they should drop between Sept and early 2021
  2. I like air cooling too, just mixing it seems wierd to me. A lot of it is really just personal preference, as you said
  3. Thank you, Ill check them out! Ill probably stick to ATX since mATX seems harder to build for the first time
  4. I only got a good deal on the AiO 2080 ti, aircooled is out of my price league even used Wouldnt it be strange to have water cooled GPU and air cooled CPU? Yeah, The SSD thing people seem to be pretty split... Ill look into what you recommended, thanks!
  5. Yeah, just trying to get experience now so I can buy when its a good deal Motherboards are still a bit black magic to me, any one you could recommend? I also do some Numerical Math, but Im also not sure how much of a performance difference a 3900X is to a 37000X. Ill look into that, thanks The samsung drive is something Ill add later when the first drive fills, I just figured Ill put it on the list so I dont forget which one I chose
  6. What personal preference thing would you change? like aesthetic stuff or change stuff out for better brands?
  7. oh, thats good to hear Which build do you think would do better? Im still not sure how good used GPU`s usually are, but I hope It should be able to do more than the new 2080 super

I went a bit overkill on purpose with the Motherboard, PSU and Case, sinde Motherboard and PSU were both responsible for complete system failiures in my past and I dont want that to repeat. I also wanted space to expand when I upgrade in the future (hopefulyl not too soon, last PC lasted 12 years ) GPU was chosen because i could locally find a pretty nice deal with it, but I didnt find much experience with AiO GPU´s sadly... One thing that especially interesting to me is weather there are any parts of building this that i should watch out for (difficulties with the case or something for example, since Im New as I said. Secondary choice would be this setup that doesnt rely on used parts and comes out with a simmular price: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 8-Core Processor €318.00 @ Amazon Deutschland CPU Cooler be quiet! Ill probably wait with buying till the new gen comes out for better savings. Monitor will be either 60Hz 4k or 144Hz with less res, I havent decided. Sorry if this is a wall of text, I just wanted to inform myself before posting much here. Hope you guys have a nice day and thanks for the help!
  9. Usually a good cooler is worth it. You can also get one for 20 bucks and then have your cpu be too hot and not be as fast/die sooner. But I dont think thats a good alternative
  10. yeah, this is why I basically have the choice between super+ryzen 7 new or ti and ryzen 9 used for pretty much the same price but less reliability But you guys are probably right, waiting for new release will probably bring the price even lower. but then Ill probably be tempted to buy the new ones when they are good
  11. Im updating from a really old system, so my monitor will be new too I was aiming for either 60hz 4k or 144hz and lower res. I will probably buy most things apart from CPU and GPU new since they dont make up that much of the budget and I want reliability fo rthe expensive components. Any Idea how much 3000 series will cost/when it will come out/how much of an Improvement it wil be? Would you recommend waiting for th enew Ryzen generation too, or just the GPU?
  12. Around me, the savings for the super werent as much (600-700), but the 2080 ti usually sold around 700-800 which surprised me Yeah, I also heard that AMD is coming out with new hardware soon, so waiting would probably be wise How much improvement do you usually see with a new generation?
  13. As the title said, Im currently trying to build my first own PC (had prebuilds before that). From what I have gathered, GPU and CPU are the most sensible things to buy used, since others come with more drawbacks. I'm looking for a 2080 super or 2080 ti, and there are some nice offers around me, but Im not sure what to look out for. If they agree to meet up to test it, what are good Programms to test or visual things i need to pay attention too? (If anyone wants to comment on what to look out for CPU (for me most likely Ryzen 7 or 9 , Im happy to hear it too ) Hope you guys are having a nice day!
  14. Ill have to look this up in the case of this offer since they give you 3 years on the system. Im not sure if that extends to all the seperate parts as they are or just the complete system. Thanks for the tipp though, ill check out if that would work
  15. delidded? So undervolting decreases the ammount of electricity the chip gets, right? So it will decrease performance. This might sound dumb, but couldnt you basically "underclock" for the same effect? Im trying to understand the Idea behind it Funny enough, another regional variant seems to have proper cooling (360mm Radiator), but then has an XS Variant of the GPU, which as far as I read leads to higher temperatures. I kinda hope its a typo and my ALDI also gets the 360mm
  16. Ok, I have one last question before I go research on my own again. you all have been super helpfull, thansk for that! I went to the Manufacturers Website and they have a simular build but with a 360mm Watercooler. the only thing Im not sure about is the Grafics card: MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER VENTUS XS OC Could anyone tell me what the VENTUS XS OC means? From what I could find it seems to be smaller, but a bit more powerfull than "Standart" RTX 2080 SUPER while drawing less electricity (6 pin vs 8 pin). Are there any drawbacks with the size?
  17. Ah, ok, thats why I asked Do you have experience with watercooling? I was wondering if lowering the Temps inside the PC with Case Fans would make a difference. Also, how much Temperature would be expected with the current setup? how much do you think would change with 240mm? Sorry If Im asking too much, Im just happy that people help me
  18. Just so I get a feel for this kind of thing: What difference in Temperatures would a 120 radiator make to a 240? would just adding additional case fans make a difference?
  19. The Case claims "Heatsink up to 160mm" is that the total hight with the motherboard included, or would that work with the Noctua NH-D15 someone else mentioned? I mean If Im gonna have to change it Ill probably just end up planning a bit longer and getting the components myself seperately, but it never hurts to learn
  20. yeah airflow/cooling was one of The things I was scared of getting screwed by since Prebuilds seem to skimp on them..
  21. Oh, so Ill probably end up choosing fitting Air cooling and installing that? Youre right, that doesnt sound too good. Im not sure about how much of a price increase it is over the parts themselfs (couldnt find all parts in sale), So Ill have to consider how much having a warranty is worth for me...
  22. Oh, and btw I´m reading all replies, Im just not fast enough to reply to all. Didnt expect to get so much help this fast, thanks
  23. How hard is it to replace the cooler with a 240mm? As I said, ive never worked with watercooling before If I remember right you are supposed to have a slight overpressure inside, right? So 2 in 2 out or 3 in 1 out would be better? Im still learning
