I a covert operation the strawberries seem to have taken over a portion of the garden 

high command is still debating wether that could be used to our advantage

    Strawberries will do that in the right conditions.  Raspberries will do it too.  Any plant really if it gets the right growing conditions.  The only way to prevent it is buried fencing.  Metal or plastic.
