FavoringWinter got a reaction from Yuri12 in What can I do or change for my build to be optimal for gaming?
For modern games, I would say go ahead and start fresh. sucks, but the motherboard doesn't have much of an upgrade path ahead.

FavoringWinter got a reaction from dijzl in how to uninstall cru
I was wondering if there is a certain way to delete CRU (custom resolution utility)

Looks great. One suggestion, you should upgrade your mousepad to a full deskpad. It seems dumb, but it is really nice

FavoringWinter got a reaction from henryjhost in What to do with a junk XBox controller?
Just wondering, what don't you like about the controller? is there something wrong with it, or do you just not like it, and where did you get the controller

Do you have any startup programs on an HDD? For example if you installed Discord on your HDD D:\ drive, when Windows starts it needs to access that slow drive to get everything set up.
No idea if you have, just offering ideas.

FavoringWinter got a reaction from WhitetailAni in Should I trust this psu with this hardware
I wouldn't use that psu, Try and get a good quality 450w psu as that would be more then enough

FavoringWinter got a reaction from CT854 in Can I mount an ssd with velcro 3m adhesive?
you should be able to find a m.2 standoff for sale somewhere online, I would try that before anything else

You can swap the switches, but it will involve desoldering the switches off the pcb, and then soldering new switches back on, which can be pretty tricky without experience working with soldering irons previously

FavoringWinter got a reaction from Spudwell06 in Ryzen 5 3600 Gigabyte A520 AORUS Elite No video
do you have a gpu in the system? If you do not, than that is why as the ryzen 3600 does not have integrated graphics.

what is your price limit? I would try to go with either g pro wireless or viper ultimate, but those are expensive. The Pwnage Ultra Custom is a little bit cheaper, but still very nice. Also what games do you play?

FavoringWinter got a reaction from ProjectBox153 in How far can I oc with a Wraith spire?
Just like any overclocking, start small and slowly work your way up to where you are comfortable at. I don't know exactly how much you can overclock it as that depends on the cpu most of the time.

FavoringWinter got a reaction from itisme911 in Cpu and Gpu never on 100% need help
try and check temps with hwmonitor, but also upgrade your ram. You should get atleast 3200mhz, but aim for 3600mhz. Ryzen likes fast ram.

FavoringWinter got a reaction from Joshua_v in My first pc!!!!!!!
Looks good hope you enjoy it. For hdd you can get a seagate barracuda 2tb for around 50 usd, which should more than enough space for everything. Just remember to give yourself plenty of time to build becuase you don't want to rush anything. But don't worry, it is surprisingly easy if you do some basic research

FavoringWinter reacted to Mark Kaine in Asus Rog Strix RTX 3080 OC underperforming
Two things. Usually you can only run one XMP profile, 1 or 2, not both. So that seems to be normal and no concern.
Also, did you really buy a great wall / wallmart psu? those are average at best (I just read GN "it won't blow up" review) and it's just not adequate for the rest of your system, so if you have issues that's where I'd suggest to start.

FavoringWinter reacted to porina in Rant: whoever is doing (Intel) Gigabyte bios's is ducking annoying
I found this amusing until I realised I have the Z490 Elite AC in my latest build. Picked it on a recommendation in another thread here, based on balance of price and the VRM isn't total garbage. Haven't got around to OC it at all yet. Wonder if it behaves similarly.

FavoringWinter got a reaction from gdmsndmxr in CPU Heatsink lifted off during install. Do I need to re-apply thermal paste.
I would try and reapply the paste, but if the temps are fine then there is no reason to

FavoringWinter got a reaction from xg32 in EVGA RTX 2060 super w/ Ryzen 5 2600. Is Ryzen 5 3600 a move that makes sense? FRAMERATE - Alternative AMD CPU?
I would recommend trying to get a 5600x or waiting one more generation as the 2600 is still a pretty good processor.

The clicks on the new ones (including Quartz and Mercury) have been improved massively according to Razer. The Quartz is a Razer store exclusive, so it should be available everywhere in the EU.

Razer viper ultimate Quartz. Great sensor, some people like the clicks some don't (some find it squishy) safe shape. 150 usd though, don't know if it is available internationally
