    Only thing I can think of at the moment is press a bios reset button in the back (I'm not sure if that board has one) or just remove the rtc battery and boot it up. See if it'll work without it then. Quite an interesting problem...

    Try starting the computer without the CMOS, so that is boots up at default settings without fail. Make sure to try and turn on the system with both the battery and computer unplugged to clear residual electricity from the system. Then, plug in the power and boot it up. This is successfully done when the computer warns you that the time and settings have been reset.
