  1. I actually just found the answer to this problem. Fixing it was as simple as running the command `netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=high` in an elevated powershell window. I'm not sure how that setting got changed in the first place but I'm really happy it's finally fixed.
  2. I may repost in a couple days. I did more testing and found that it seems to be a problem that only affects certain programs. Within steam I was getting about 70 but no matter what browser I used it never went only 35. I tried in some other programs like jdownloader also and it never went above 35. I also tried using a USB to Ethernet adapter with the same speeds and I used my phone's hotspot with the exact same speeds. It's a really weird problem. So it's something within windows. That affects all network connections but only within certain programs. Thanks for trying to help btw.
  3. I'd like to add that I just booted up a live ubuntu usb and ran the same speedtest and I got about 70mbps. So the problem is definitely within windows.
  4. Checking ethernet under the performance tab showed maybe .2 mbps higher than the speedtest so I went back to the processes tab and sorted by network. The only thing using more than 0% was barrier (mouse sharing software) using .1 mbps. I disabled barrier and ran the speedtest and nothing changed. Edit: And my pc doesn't have wifi.
  5. I've tried both speedtest.net and fast.com but I've also noticed when downloading wether it's from a browser or steam my PC is much slower than other devices. I checked and windows isn't downloading an update. This has been going on for a while now btw. Across versions of windows too. Nope. I closed out of everything I had running in the background and the only tab I had open was the speed test. When I was working on fixing this last night I was the only one using the internet. The TMobile ui for this router is absolute shit and I don't even have an option to enable or disable QoS. I've tried running straight to my router and through my network switch. I have 1gbit to my lan but my wan seems capped at like 25 Mbps. When I plug in my laptop in through Ethernet I get around 70mbps.
  6. I have TMobile 5g home internet and on my PC with Ethernet I get about 20-25 mbps. On my phone or laptop over wifi I get 60-70 Mbps. I've swapped out my Ethernet cable because I learned flat cat7 cables are usually cheap. Using a cat5e cable with the network adapter set to 1gbps and full duplex it's the exact same. I tried my laptop with a cat5e cable and I got 70 Mbps. I plugged that cable into my PC right after and 25. I've reinstalled my network driver (realtek gaming 1gbit 8118) and reset windows network settings but nothing I do fixes it. TIA
  7. I recently got an hp victus and had to reinstall the OS, it has a 32gb intel optane h20 and a 512gb ssd. I have the drivers for optane installed. I open optane memory and storage management and go to the intel optane memory tab and it shows "There are no valid disk pairs in your system"
  8. I haven't done any update recently and when I ordered this phone straight from OnePlus and put my sim in when I got it so I don't think it's the other thing you mentioned either.
  9. So I'm having a problem that no phone calls will come through to my phone. I can make calls. But if anyone calls me it puts them straight to voicemail. Calls on discord come through but not phone calls. I usually talk on discord so idk how long the problems been going on. I've tried restarting my phone, taking out my sim and putting it back in, making sure do not disturb and call forwarding is off but nothing fixed it. This is with at&t and on android 11.
  10. I'm looking for a new laptop around $1000 USD. It'll be used for gaming, c# and python development, and a lot of typing. I want a high refresh rate display, at least 512gb of storage, and 3050-3050ti level performance. A big thing though will be ram and storage upgradability as I was t to use this for at least 4 years. I'm currently looking at an hp victus 16.
  11. I currently have a 512gb Samsung 870 Evo in my PC but I just got a 1tb WD blue sn550. Would it be better to keep the 870 Evo as my C: drive and add the sn550 as my D: drive or clone the 870 Evo to the sn550 and use the 870 Evo as the D: drive?
  12. Im currently trying to find out how many watts my monitor pulls. I can't seem to find the number online and the power adapter doesn't say on it either. It's a 144hz 1080p sceptre panel ltt reviewed a couple years ago in their "cheapest 144hz monitors" video. How do I find out how much it pulls if the number isn't on the power adapter and it's not online?
  13. How do I actually figure up how much wattage I'm actually pulling?
  14. My system's specs are as follows, I5-10400 32GB ddr4@2666 (2 of the dimms are rgb) Evga rtx 3060 gaming xc 2 sata ssd 1 hdd I have a 700w power supply which I know is overkill for my system but I got a good deal on it. I'm now looking for a ups but I'm not sure what to get or what it should be rated for. My budget is 150-200 USD. Any recommendations?
