Ive just downloaded folding@home as i got a new computer with some massive computational power and launched a fold but, i noticed that even if my computer has just firefox, discord and folding@home opened, if its set to launch on iddle, it wont. So ive set it to launch only when i work for this night to do a fold but tomorrow im gonna play some games and i dont want it to launch, What am i supposed to do to fix that ?

Oh yeah, thats the basic when painting electronics xD Make sure every exposed port isnt anymore

What do you mean, prep ? Preparation ? And what could go wrong with painting a drive ?

Of course im gonna protect the ports xD I know, color shouldnt be a problem but i really think this blue is hideous ...all my stuff is black or silver, with medium aquamarine touches, which makes the drive stick out like some sort of child toy ...

What problems could painting an external drive cause ? And sanding it ? Im curious x))

Hello guy ! Just bought a new WD My Passport but i find it awfull in this blue ... I want to paint it in this color or a similar one. How should i procede ? Should i sand it like a plastic model and then paint or paint directly onto the blue layer ? Does the type of paint I use matter ? Thanks and have a nice day ^^ !

Why do you need good VRMs for overclocking ?
GAlbert replied to GAlbert's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Well, my presentation must be physics centered, like physical phenomena. Its not a long presentation, its supposed to last 5 mins and i thought talking about the capacitive effect would be the most interesting stuff- 8 replies

So for my graduation i have to do a presentation over a subject i like in physics and the only one i like is the one talking about capacitors. VRMs are made of capacitors; so i decided to make my essay on them, but i want to know what is the reason you need good VRMs to get to higher voltages, like what happens to the capacitors that leads to system instability ?

xps13 Is it possible to force HDR on a XPS 13 9310 ?
GAlbert replied to GAlbert's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Yeah, i know this. I just thought it would be weird to have the same brightness but not the same features. I think you're right cuz my display and the 4K one dont even have the same contrast so it might be a worse display indeed. Apart from the hdr shenanigans, do you have an idea on the refresh rate things happening ? -

Hope you're right cuz I really hate software limitations ... -
Hi guys, i recently bought an XPS 13 9310, the FHD one, but i just noticed that only the 4K one has hdr certification. YET they both have the exact same nits (500), so my screen should support hdr without too much harm, so is it a way to force it ? And I also encounter a problem because I seemingly cant have my screen go all the way up to 60 hz ? like it just sets itself to 59,950 hz according to windows and if i change it directly from the display settings to 60, it will go back to 59 automatically, is it normal ?
