  1. Got it working by doing a fresh install of windows, and installing it via ASUS Grid (as opposed to directly from their website)!
  2. That would let me connect the usb-c cable to the usb 3.1 gen 1 port, not the ubs 2.0 one. I might use that as part of a daisy chain though!
  3. The 3.0 header is a different connector type, so I would still need some sort of adapter. I'll look into the idea of daisy chaining though. Thanks!
  4. Hey everyone, I have the Asus ROG Strix B450i motherboard. I have been having a lot of issues getting Aura Sync to work properly. After installing it and attempting to run it, I get the following error: Has anyone had any luck with this? I have tried some of the solutions suggested online, but haven't been able to get it to work.
  5. Hey everyone, I bought the NZXT H210 case and the ASUS ROG Strix B450i motherboard. The case has 2 front panel ports: one USB 3.1 Gen 1 type A, and one USB 3.1 Gen 2 type C. The motherboard has 2 internal headers: one USB 3.1 Gen 1 and one USB 2.0. I'm able to plug in the type A cable no problem, but the motherboard doesn't have the right header for the type C port. I was wondering if there's some sort of adapter that could help. I get that I wont get the best performance from a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port plugged into a USB 2.0 header, but its better than nothing. There's also a bit of a packaging constraint. The adapter should either be pointing straight out of the motherboard, or away from the RAM, or else the cable will likely interfere with the RAM (see motherboard manual page 16 for pin-out and geometry). 6. Yeah although its not a huge deal for me, the tensor cores are definitely a nice to have!
  7. Hey, just wanted some advice on my first PC build! Thanks! Budget: ~$1200 USD Country: New Jersey, United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: SolidWorks (including simulations), Physics Simulations and Running Virtual Machines (ROS and Gazebo), various programming/ML stuff, 1440p 60 Hz gaming (may upgrade monitor to higher refresh rate in the future) Sample games: Civilization 6, Kerbal Space Program (large textures so 8gb VRAM would be nice), Witcher 3 Other details: As a college student, I move every 4 months so a small build would be nice. Existing parts: ViewSonic VA2719-2K Monitor (1440p, 60Hz) Corsair K63 Keyboard Logitech M510 Mouse (I'll probably upgrade this soonish) Current Parts To Buy List: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X, higher than in some recommended build videos I found online but I have some more CPU focused tasks apart from gaming GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Super (Ventus) Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B450-i (mini itx) Case: NZXT H210 PSU: Corsair RM 650 (80 plus gold, fully modular) RAM: G Skill Ripjaw 16gb (8x2) DDR4 3200Hz SSD: Inland Premium 1TB M.2 NVME SSD Questions Does the overall build sound reasonable? Any potential/glaring compatibility issues? Would fitting all these components in the case be doable? Is the stock CPU cooler enough? Should I get extra fans for the case?
