luckily had a usb stick foating around used a different computer to get the installer installed onto the m.2 kind of blown away with how much faster it is before it took maybe 2 minutes to start the computer and sit on the desktop waiting till i could do something now i can turn on the computer and be opening up chrome within 10-15 seconds amazing. currently formatting my 2 harddrives into a spanned volume so i can have a single d drive with all my games and such 20% done taking ages to do this

I don't know what I did when I have all my drives connected like I did before it just says an operating system wasn't found try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. When I disconnect everything other than my m.2 which should have an operating system on it cause I cloned the boot drive to it it says the same thing. When I connect everything other than the drive it was booting from it says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. I can't get it to boot like it was before I think I have to do a clean install of windows.

I did what you said and disconnected my old drives but when I rebooted it said can't find any operating system please connect a drive with a functioning operating system or something like that. So I plugged back in my old drive and it said the same thing I don't know what I've done but the computer doesn't boot now at this point I'm debating just doing a clean install but would like to avoid it if possible

i got a new ssd want to change boot drive over to it without losing any data ive used macrium reflect to copy my whole boot drive onto the new drive and thought itd be as easy as changing the config in the bios but it didnt work it still boots to the old harddrive what should i do about this is there some thing im missing here?

that doesnt answer the question tho XD. is the system reserved bit in the hardrive the only thing i need to copy over.

so my boot drive is a harddrive ive just put in an m.2 and formatted it and want to use macrium relfect to copy the boot files over to the m.2. in my boot drive there is two things system reserved and just the c: drive do i only need to copy over the system reserved stuff then switch the boot drive in the bios or should i do the whole drive and then wipe the hard drive

does this board have an argb header? if it does then im blind cause i dont see it

I was going to buy more fans for my PC anyway so Instead of buying a hub that will work with these fans and extra fans I'm getting a 6 pack of fans that comes with a hub and a remote problem sorted.

My fans have these types of connections but I can't find a hub that they'd plug into where am I supposed to plug these into? Right now they only have power so I think they are just going full speed all the time idk tho

So I just need to make sure I buy a controller that has 3-pin connections and where on the motherboard does the controller plug into?

MSI made the board fans are oversteel I know I need a controller for multiple fans but the question was in there any compatibility issues with a Corsair controller for example and the oversteel fans.

I don't know if this is the right spot for this or I should be in cases forum but I built a PC the case came with 2 RGB fans in it but I want to control the RGB on them. I think I need a fan hub of some sort to do this because there are three-pin connectors coming off the fans that I don't see anywhere to plug them into on the motherboard. Am I right in thinking I need a hub to control the fans colour and if so will any fan hub work? Case fans are over steel fans if that matters.

yep thats what it says. so itll be easy to move windows onto the m.2 i was worried itd be something difficult to do.

when i sign into microsoft account it shows the machine that i use tells me os edition/build serial number stuff like that is the windows key already connected to my account?

there is a sticker on my computer that i think is the windows license code says windows 7 pro oa has a (edit product key*) and some other stuff on it if cloning the drive works then thats all good but if it doesnt i just use that code and have windows thats good news thank you old machine is a dell optiplex no way an m.2 is going anywhere near it
