  1. okay, thank you so much. I think I will go with the boxed coolers of the products for now and monitor the heat. If I dont have to spend money on custom cooling solutions I will be happy
  2. Hey TechWizard, CPU is the original, RAM are two sticks and 2400 mghz (Crucial Ballistix Sport LT grey DDR4-2400 DIMM CL16-16-16 to be precise). That means I have to replace them with 3200 ones right, no point keeping them since they are too slow. Would you still recommend having 32 GB overall? Thanks for those suggestions, they do look good and I wouldn't even need to upgrade my motherboard, great! I have never used a water cooler before, but basically told myself the cooling advantage is not worth the hassle of setting it up and taking care of it when it breaks. Does it help much and I am in the wrong?
  3. Hello there. I recently bought a Valve Index, and would like to fully use its potential. I build my current gaming PC a couple of years back with a very limited budget, so I am afraid it has to be a full upgrade, but I wanted to hear some opinions first. My requirement for the new one would be to run Alyx in the Indexes native resolution at the 120 hertz it is capable of, ideally at a good graphic setting. I tried to do some research at what exactly would be needed to achieve this, but there is no explicit answer (it is a pretty specific question after all), so I'm basically just hunting for recommendations. My current PC has a an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (Six-Core Processor 3,2Ghz), an overclocked GTX 1070, MSI b350m pro vdh as a mainboard and 16gb RAM. So it just meets the minimum requirement, which is nice. It also means I can wait a couple of months to do this upgrade if that makes sense. My Budget for the upgrade would be about 2000€, give or take. The country is Germany. The Index will probably be the most demanding part of my workload, otherwise I am happy with gaming in 1080p, and I will run two monitors, which shouldn't be an issue either. I am also happy with my mouse, keyboard, the monitor will be good enough or I will buy another one later, this is not the focus right now. The PSU should also be good enough, but I can recheck this later. I do need/want a new case, so if you happen to have a recommendation for that as well, I would take it. If you have read this far, thank you for your attention. ~Poolitzer
