  2. it seems to work fine when im using the crappy bloatware software it has, don't you know how can i extract the inf driver file from the setup and install it manually? edit:+i would rather just risk my life for a trip to the mall im not waiting another month for it to get returned i couldn't bother he can keep the 10 dollars
  3. the intel bluetooth is on my laptop not my brother's computer but yes it does and it does with my brother's dongle and i tried a ps4 controller,an android phone and galaxy buds they all didn't work
  4. no im using the setting app in windows 10 the bluetooth devices show up but they just seem to be connecting forever and then it fails to connect same thing happens on my brothers computer and my laptop when i disabled it's onboard intel bluetooth and used the dongle edit: this is what shows up in device manager
  5. So i ordered this bluetooth dongle for my pc because i wanted to use my ps4 controller wirelessly that was about half a month ago i waited so long for it to come and it did, unfortunately tho it didn't work out of the box it would scan correctly but would keep connecting forever this happened with my own computer and my brother's too, so i did a bit of digging around and found a driver that made it work but it had it's flaws it didn't work natively with windows and you need to have the utility app always open for it to work and it also screws with this pc it adds extra bloat to it, so i was asking here if anyone knew how to extract the .inf driver file from the setup file to make it plug and play with native support for windows, i really don't want to return it and wait forever again for one like my brother's to arrive which does work plus and play. anyhelp is appreciated the bluetooth dongle is a csr 4.0 dongle btw i can't attach the setup file because it's too big but i'll link it https://download.informer.com/win-1192477475-c52463cc-68c9eae5/orico_bluetooth_4.0_adapter_driver_cd.zip
  6. Sorry About the punctuation damn so it's pretty much a hopeless case btw the files on it are not really worth paying to restore them they're just a couple of games and some movies it's just a shame they're lost ,tho i may try the linux thing , i have a sata to usb converter but it doesn't seem to work with 3.5 inch drives i may try and hack the power bit off and connect it to a power supply instead ill see what i can do, but anyways thanks for your help
  7. So my brother's computer that he's had for like 3 or 4 years by now a few month ago there was an issue with it for some reason it started to like stutter and stuff and then it suddenly blue screened after a quick restart the computer wouldn't get into windows it'd show the windows loading screen then just a black screen with a cursor so i tried a few things like disconnecting other drives and clearing cmos but nothing worked so i tried loading up a copy of windows on a usb stick and tried the repair my computer option that didn't do anything either so after that i tried a windows to go installation on a usb stick and it worked i was in windows to go and i could see the contents of my hard drive then after i confirmed the computer was infact working fine i tried reinstalling windows on the old c partition and it worked fine i was up and in windows just like normal but that didn't last for long because after a few days the hard drive failed again so i tried plugging it into my computer but that made my computer not even post and then we tried it again on his the computer would post but say no operating system was found although it did take much longer than usual on the bios screen before it posted and then i tried windows to go again it worked fine but the hard drive wouldn't show up in windows explorer and in disk management it would show up as offline then i came to the realization that the hard drive was broken and i went out and bought a 250gb ssd and a 2tb seagate barracuda and everything was working fine until then but i really wanted to get the files from the old one so i tried plugging it in one last time and maybe try and format it and recover the files but unfortunately after plugging it into a perfectly functioning computer it completely bricked it and it wouldn't go into windows anymore turns out it somehow corrupted the boot section of the ssd that had windows on it i have no idea how but it did it i tried windows to go all my files were there but the windows copy on it was broken and it would refuse to boot into windows and then i just said screw it reset all my progress again and reinstalled windows on the ssd i was asking here just wondering if there is a way to get back my lost files from the old hard drive?
