MarvintheParrot got a reaction from SkilledRebuilds in Bluescreen Error When Running Cyberpunk 2.01
    Hi all,

Just installed the 2.01 update for Cybperunk 2077 on Steam, and when I go to run it, it gives me a BSOD. The PC then restarts and shows me the American Megatrends screen and tells me that the CPU overheated. I've tried starting the game multiple times and even tried turning up my fan speed. I've also checked my CPU temp as I'm loading into Cyberpunk, and it's ~90C.

    My specs are:
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard ASUS ROG STRIX-B550-A RAM Crucial Ballistix 16GB 3200 GPU RTX 3060 Ti FE Case Lian Li o11 mini Storage 256GB M.2 SSD / 500GB M.2 SSD / 2TB Hard Drive PSU Seasonic SGX650 Cooling ASUS ROG STRIX LC240 White Let me know if there is anything I can do. Also, I will be away from my PC for a few hours, so hopefully the CPU may be able to cool down until I'm back.

    Thanks!

Hello!Forgot to mention that after this happened the first time a few months ago, I was instructed to run memtest and some other benchmarks and everything came back fine.

I literally just created an account to say thank you! I was spending 2h figuring out wtf was going on then I saw this and same thing, a bunch of corrupted files after the update. Thanks again my man

I guess it's the Seasonic SGX650 as mentioned in his sig.

You will need to enable XMP/DOCP in your BIOS to get your memory up to 3000mhz. By default, 2133 is what just about all systems will set the memory speeds to.

most pipe cutters like the one you linked are not great for "cutting" but good to get an even score around the tube so you can use the groove to keep the cut straight.

I use a bandsaw with very fine teeth, hacksaw would work too, but a Coping saw is best since the blade width is often thinner and you can tell right away if you are starting to cut at an angle.
You can get a really good coping saw for $8-10 and blades are like 50c each, always swap your blade after 6-8 or so cuts or check the teeth to make sure they are still sharp (that's the most common reason for cracking or shattering since dull teeth bind and dig in instead of cutting)

from the list of parts 45's sometimes look good but you can often get cleaner lines with 90's and extensions instead

might want to look at positioning squares https://www.amazon.ca/Positioning-Squares-Picture-Cabinets-Woodworking/dp/B08M1699MS/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=positioning+square&qid=1623784216&s=hi&sr=1-6
these let you line up the outside of the bend to make sure it's actually 90deg and with the different sizes you can start doing more than 1 bend per line like most people do

I couldn't use my tube cutter for acrylic, just shattered, so a hacksaw of some describption was necessary.

I was looking at task manager and it seems like at least 1% of my CPU load is coming from Corsair iCUE, which I would have turned off if it wasn't for my fans.
Interesting, I had an air cooler before I got the AIO (ARCTIC 34 Esports DUO) and the temps were AMAZING. Mid 20s to low 30s. I got the AIO for the looks, which probably wasn't the best Idea, but now the air cooler won't even fit in my new case 😄. I also switched my radiator fans around so they now are intake fans, which lowered temps by around 5C. Also, I moved the AIO pump into the actually AIO_Pump header on my mobo(it was previously in CPU_fan) and that lowered temps by another 5C, I guess it just helped control the pump better.

    Hi!

Recently, I noticed that when I was launching some intensive games/applications, such as AC Valhalla and Cinebench, the LEDs on my Drop CTRL either dim or turn off completely. This also happens with non-intensive games such as Minecraft or Valorant. I looked into it, and this seems to be a reoccurring problem for many Drop CTRL/ALT users. I know that using a power USB hub will fix this problem (hopefully) so I just want some recommendations for what one to get. Preferably sub $25 USD. All this will do is power by CTRL, so no need for more than one port. Also, I will be using a custom cable with this setup, so I want to make sure that it can supply that too. The cable is 3FT long, plus the USB hub. I would like the whole system to be kept under 9 ft if possible, so the USB hub should not have more that a 6ft cable. Thanks for any suggestions!

Not enough to make a difference unless that screw punctured the pipe and let the liquid drain out.

The 3600 isn’t worth it atm, get the 11400f (with a B560 board) instead.

The first boards that support DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 will be anything but budget friendly. That goes doubly for DDR5 RAM itself. It will be *very* expensive. I'm not sure what Intel's plans are, but Zen 4 is rumored to support both DDR4 and DDR5, most likely because most people not named Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos are still going to be buying DDR4 for a while. PCIe 5.0 is completely unnecessary. Heck, even 4.0 is largely unnecessary. It will mostly just enable more high bandwidth I/O on the boards, so you'll probably have a handful of type C instead of just one.

If you're talking about rumors, thats another thing entirely. If you are talking about rumors then don't even try to make a list yet. There are 0 confirmations on performance or price, so you cant really be sure.

It's hard to tell whether Alder lake or DDR5 will be any good. So far we've had only some rumors and some specs about the architecture of the former, and some info on the memory speed and CAS latency of the latter. We don't know what the real world performance will be or how expensive it's going to be. So to answer your question you can look at how your situation is. Do you need a need PC now or can you wait 6 months to be sure you're making the right decision?

Personaly I'd be surprised if the first generation of DDR5 ram kits and processors are the best bargain but who knows ..

No, not really. Everything on that list is either overpriced or is going to explode as soon as you turn it on. Plus, an HDD as your boot drive? Never a good Idea.
