  1. Thanks, will try this layout and probably use it until the 30 series nvidia cards come out and i upgrade from a 1660 super to a 3080 hopefully. Will certainly water cool it, but didn't want to spend the extra money water cooling a 1660 super for now since it will only be a temporary gpu.
  2. Optimal 9 fan configuration for a lian li o11 dynamic? I have a 360 mm aio liquid cooler for the CPU. Thanks.
  3. That's what I forgot to mention. I am currently playing War Thunder, Elite Dangerous, X4 foundations, would like to get back into Star Citizen, Escape From Tarkov. So a mix of games that i've had to cut down to really just playing War Thunder lately due to the lacking GPU in my laptop. And as I had mentioned before, I am building a new pc which will have the 10900k so that is why I am needing a new GPU. I am not going to build a new pc when the 3000 series GPUs come out, I intend to sell whatever temporary card i go with for now and then buy the 3080 ti when it comes out. I know that the new AMD GPUs have nice features and better support and am glad for them that they made much needed changes compared to the past but for personal reasons I am not interested in going back to AMD, sorry. Thank you though for the ideas of AMD products though. I do not wish to sound ungrateful for the help, rather I just have my personal preferences now that i'm in my late 30's and have my comfort zone so to speak.
  4. Hi everyone, new to the community and figured I'd pop my posting cherry to ask a build question regarding GPUs. I've been holding off on my new build for the 10th gen intel with the intent to buy a 10900k. I am currently using a laptop with a 960m for my gaming, which of course is not ideal for some of the games I play. My previous desktop I had built was 10 years old and when my r9 290x had died, I changed it to a nvidia 1030 and put the entire aged system into a "pretty" pink tower for my wife who only needed something to browse Instagram and play very simple puzzle games. My question is what should I buy for this new build which will be able to be hopefully be sold when the 3080 ti comes out? I prefer to stay nvidia since I have been burnt by AMD gpus and why I am not buying another for personal reasons. I do understand that they are great value cards, but as I mentioned, are not for me. Was thinking a 1660 ti might be the right choice but was hoping for some opinions from others please. Thanks for the help.
